Master wood carver

Ed Graverson has been "one" with wood since a very early age.  What started with sitting on a front porch watching a old European, "Master Wood Carver" led to Ed becoming an apprentice to him and then to 42 years working his own magic with wood as a Master Carver himself.

Ed still creates his magic by hand using the 300 vintage hand carving tools given to him by his original teacher.

     A native of Michigan, Ed has etched his initials in the community with his carvings:

Life size Christ for area churches and Stations of the Cross.

Murals for many West Michigan business lobbies.

City seals for prominent Michigan Cities.

Large knight in armor for local Gilda's club.

He has been featured in the Grand Rapids Press and other local papers and on TV many times.
