2Chicfriends, are Susie and Lorena. We are dear friends who met when our daughters were in 1st grade. We share many things...our birthday, love of GOD, family and shopping...especially thrifting and garage saling. We continue to scour the metro Detroit area for those wonderful, one-of-a-kind vintage finds and treasure for your home decor! Whether it is a handpainted one-of-a-kind treasure painted by Lorena, vintage linens or a beautiful plate picked out by Susie, we hope you will continue to keep checking back with us. Don't forget...to put us on your *FAVORITES LIST*, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TREASURE WE MAY UNEARTH that has your name on it.
A Special note to you from Lorena:
I thought I might share a bit of myself with you. I have a wonderfully supportive husband of 21 years and a 16 year old daughter who is a Sophomore in High School. This last summer was a new milestone for me...my daughter began her Drivers Training...need I say more?
Well...my painting began over 9 years ago, actually to help out with a fund raiser for my daughter's school. Little did I know what it would lead too! I have always loved decorating, creating, sewing and crafting. But once I started painting the creativity and passion just grew into what I am presenting to you on a weekly basis. I also loved to shop and recycle vintage items and make them new again. You know, give them a NEW lease on life. Now I can take all of these and put them together in my auction offerings to you. I aslo want to recognize that I believe God gave me my painting as gift. He did this to fill a deep need and void in my life in a very difficult time. So now it is for His glory that I paint.
Also, I want to thank those of you who have taken the time to stop by and share your kind words of encouragement to me along the way. There have been many times that I have almost given up and then, just at the right time a word of encouragement comes my way. Many of you have become cherished friends and I am so thankful for each of you! Thank you!
As an artist my hope is to continue to create special treasures that will become heirlooms for you and your family. I welcome your inquiries and special requests. It challenges me to paint or create a unique item that is exactly for you! Please don't ever hesitate to ask.
