Clearpool was founded in 1901 as a summer camp that offered disadvantaged children a temporary escape from inner city New York.  In the late 90's, Clearpool determined that, in order to intervene successfully in the lives of children, it needed to be more than just a summer refuge.  It therefore renovated its summer camp facility into a year-round campus for its public school partners as well as other educational and human service organizations. 

Acade   Clearpool operates year-round as an outdoor education center, conference center, and retreat site.
