A LITTLE BIO

My name is Melissa (Missi, for short).  I am 37 years young and I live in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.  I have a 19-year-old son, Jacob, who is about to embark on a new journey in the Marine Corps.  I moved to Arkansas from Florida in October 2006 to get away from the hurricanes.  I survived hurricanes Frances and Jeanne in 2004 and Katrina and Wilma in 2005.  Enough is enough!  Anyway, I love the mountains and the seasons here in Arkansas so much that I have no regrets leaving Florida or for not moving back to my home state of Michigan.  Besides, my mother lives here in Arkansas now.

On December 2, 2006, I married a pastor of a local Pentecostal church in Aurora, Arkansas.  We try to live our lives in holiness and service to the Lord Jesus Christ.  I have been a Christian since 2000, and I can truly say that I would never choose to live any other way. 

One reason I decided to sell on eBay is because I want to be a stay-at-home mom.  The Lord recently blessed us with our first child.  Robert Caleb Townsend was born December 28, 2007.  So, working from home allows me to be with him more.

Before moving to Arkansas, I worked for Faith Farm Ministries in Boynton Beach, Florida.  For almost two years, I was involved in the administration of Eastham Home for Women, a division of Faith Farm Ministries.  Eastham Home offers a Christ-centered program for women with life-controlling problems due to drug and/or alcohol addiction.  In 2005, I transferred to the bookkeeping department at Faith Farm's New Furniture Plaza and Thrift Store.  I like accounting work, so now I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Accounting through Liberty University's Distance Learning Program.  After graduating, I may open a 70 Times 7 Second Chance Store locally as well as keeping my eBay store open.

My hobbies include reading (especially the Bible), teaching the Bible, traveling, bowling and Notre Dame football.  However, the Razorback fanaticism up here is catchy!  I just might become a University of Arkansas fan, too.

WHAT I SELL

The items I sell on eBay are mostly second hand items in good to excellent condition.  My items are described HONESTLY and FAIRLY.  Also, I try to describe them as ACCURATELY as possible.  If ever a flaw in an item exists that I did not describe, it is because I did not recognize it or it is so trivial that it does not alter the value of the item.  I will never offer anything for sale that I would not use or wear myself.  However, I do carry some new items that I purchased at a low cost and therefore can pass great deals on to you.  In that case, I may offer NWT items for sale that have never been used or worn.

My items up for sale are of a wide variety, such as CDs, DVDs, books, home accessories, shoes, clothing and jewelry.  My goal, however, is to soon offer quality NEW and/or HAND-DESIGNED women's plus-sized clothing and accessories.  It seems there are not very many trendy styles available in plus sizes for women.  Also, I plan to offer a variety of new and used CHRISTIAN items, such as books, clothing, accessories, CDs and DVDs. 

SHIPPING POLICY

I ship within 24-48 hours after payment clears.  The shipping services I offer are USPS Priority Mail, USPS First Class Mail (when applicable) and USPS Media Mail (when applicable).  There may be instances when I will use USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate shipping, such as for multiple-item purchases, and then pass the savings on to the buyer.  USPS Delivery Confirmation Service (which does NOT require the buyer to sign or be present for delivery) will be used for every package I ship.  The confirmation service does NOT change the buyer's shipping costs.  Currently, I only ship to the United States, but plan to make shipping available to Canada, Australia, and Europe in the near future.  All items will be sealed in plastic and/or bubble wrap (except when unnecessary or unfeasible) and shipped in boxes or tear-resistant envelopes for added buyer protection.  Shipping insurance is optional, unless otherwise stated in an auction listing, and is only $1.65 for coverage up to $50.00.  The buyer is responsible for the cost of shipping insurance.  I use eBay's Shipping Calculator so buyers can quickly see the exact cost of shipping items to their locations.  In addition to regular shipping charges, I charge a small handling fee of $1.50 on each order to cover miscellaneous expenses, such as packing materials and transportation. 

SHIPPING DISCOUNTS ARE AVAILABLE.  If a buyer purchases more than one item, the combined weight of the items will determine the regular shipping charges.  In other words, the buyer will not be charged shipping for each item separately.  Additionally, the handling fee will be only $2.00 for the entire order, regardless of the number of items purchased. 

PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

I accept PayPal, money order, cashier's check and personal check.  When paying with a personal check, shipment of your item(s) will be delayed until payment clears.  Payment, regardless of form, should be received by me within 7 days of winning an auction, unless you are bidding on additional 70 Times 7 auction listings*.  If payment is not received within 7 days, I will cancel the sale and re-list the item(s).  Please contact me via eBays's Ask Seller a Question if you have extenuating circumstances that will prevent you from paying on time.  If the situation cannot be resolved to our satisfaction, I will consider leaving negative feedback.  Remember, bidding on an auction binds you to pay if you win the auction, so please bid wisely. 

* Buyers may send a single, combined payment for item(s) purchased within 7 days from the end of an auction they have won.  In other words, you may opt to wait up to 7 days to pay for items you have won from 70 Times 7 auctions if you are still bidding on additional 70 Times 7 auctions.  However, if this applies to you, you must contact me via eBay's Ask Seller a Question to inform me of the reason for your delayed payment. 

RETURN POLICY

Everything I sell has a 100% Money Back Guarantee (excluding shipping and handling) providing the item you purchased is returned to me in the same condition in which it was received by you.  I will only issue a refund if I have GROSSLY MISREPRESENTED the item you purchased or if the item was damaged in transit and you have purchased insurance.  I will generally NOT issue a refund if the item does not fit, you do not like the item, or you simply change your mind.  Please contact me via eBay's Ask Seller a Question BEFORE returning any items.  I must receive the item you are returning within 7 days after you receive the item, unless otherwise agreed upon.
