Absinthe's Autobiography
Welcome! Welcome! I thought you might like to know a bit about who you may be buying from or selling to. The picture is of my nephew and I last Halloween. I'm the one with the whiskers and he's the heartbreaker! We love costumes, scary stories, and leaping out from behind things while yelling boo. At Halloween we are the scourge of the neighborhood! We are currently terrorizing a neighborhood in Maryland but as soon as I finish school I'm planning a move to Utah, Colorado or New Mexico. I spend several months of every year traveling, camping and backpacking and I've lost my heart to the high desert landscape and people!A Little About Absinthe's Addiction
I love Ebay! I admit it! I'm addicted! Someone should start a 12-step program for us addicts! I love idly surfing over my morning coffee and riding out my frequent bouts of insomnia rooting around in the totally bizarre category! I've been buying on ebay for a year or so now and I mostly buy old school punk rock records,red or black kitchen stuff,renaissance faire garb, native american drums or fetishes and desert paintings. I've been selling stuff for 4 months or so and at first I was just trying to find new homes for my treasures because I was moving. But lately I've been devoting more time to selling, it's become as exciting as bidding although it's alot more work! I think I love it so much because it justifies my passion for thrift stores, estate sales and auctions. Most weekends I can be found "haunting" any or all of these places! I especially love to offer cool deco items, lovely hard to find dinnerware or kitchen gadgets, and fifties, sixties or seventies "modern" items. I'm prone to aquiring anything that catches my eye however (much like a ferret) so there's no telling what I might be offering! I like to think that we ebay addicts form one big global community and I would look forward to hearing from anyone who shares my interests. Long live the packrats, scroungers, junque collectors, and seekers after the obscure!!!BOO!!!
