I don't just dance to a different drummer,

(more or less) I am a woman with a wide and eclectic range of interests. I live in Central New Jersey with my family:  my husband Bernie and two dogs (Pomeranians -- Dolly and her daughter Pearl) and three cats (Tommy, Angel and Ziggy).  Bernie and three of "the kids" - Tom, Dolly and Pearl (We have no human children) I have traveled extensively in the US and taken a few trips overseas. I sometimes stay in Central Pennsylvania with my brother and his family (also eBay sellers) I hold a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a Philosophy Minor. I read a lot and watch nature programs and documentaries on TV, and search the Internet for information on anything that sparks my interest.  online as usual, with Tommy, Fall, 2000 I have worked at many varied jobs in my lifetime, and have also owned and operated my own small retail store here in central NJ from 1987 - 1999. Now I work from my home, mostly selling on eBay, designing websites, sewing, making jewelry and other craft projects for sale. Sometimes my "furry family" actually allow me to get some work done!  how do I pack merchandise with this kind of help? I love the arts, and try to find time for them. I enjoy attending performances and going to galleries. I play piano and percussion, and know the basics on several other instruments. I played Harp in my High School orchestra. I was the leader of a world percussion ensemble "the Heart of the Rainbow Rhythm Band" for several months, performing at local events. I sometimes facilitate hand drumming workshops and community drum circles. I enjoy creating visual art, too. My favorite media are Prismacolor pencils and woodcut prints. I also do a lot of artwork on the computer.  one of my images I also enjoy gardening, sewing, cooking, handcrafts, home improvement and decorating projects, and other domestic pursuits. I love to try new foods, especially spicy dishes, and also to invent new recipes. I like to watch figure skating, auto racing, Star Trek, old movies and Brit-Coms on TV, and have been a fan of the daytime drama "the Young and the Restless" since it first came on the air. I prefer activities like walking, swimming, and belly dancing body/mind/spirit disciplines like Yoga and Tai Chi over more competitive sports. In the time off we have to share, my husband and I enjoy bike riding, kayaking, camping and watching wildlife.  A reflective moment with Dolly in the kayak on the Assunpink creek We love nature. We have a 27' trailer on a space in a campground in the Southern NJ Pinelands, near the shore. It is a great weekend getaway for us. We have several bird feeders in the front yard of our home which provide us with hours of entertainment, too.  our "bird cafeteria" One of my favorite places on the Internet is Neopets. It is a really fun virtual pet site with games, contests, and shopping for virtual items for your virtual pets with virtual money you earn by playing games. Oh heck, you have to visit there to understand! 
I also Blog at Xanga. What is a blog, you ask? Well, it is short for "weblog", sort of an online journal where I can post my personal news and random ramblings.

I sell a variety of things on eBay divided between 4 different member id's. I usually have auctions on at least one of them every week. I have heard a lot of controversy about the practice of having more than one account on eBay. It seems that many people consider it to be only a way to cover dishonest practices. I disagree with this, and would like to explain why I have 4 separate accounts. For more than 12 years I owned and operated a store named Paradise America, and in 1999 I decided to close it and do business exclusively on the Internet. I built a website and did related business on eBay using the names paradiseamerica and natureannie, with different types of merchandise under each id in order to more coherently group my auctions. Since then, my product line has changed considerably, as I refined and refocused my inventory. I phased out most of my Paradise America inventory and stopped using that business name and eBay account. I had been selling a lot of my personal book collection, and then I got an opportunity to expand on this with an excellent line of new books, so I changed the name of my old business account to "books-2-read". For the past two years or so, I have been selling books through that id, and have many satisfied customers. By putting all my book sales in one place I was able to reserve adifrentdrumr as the "online yard sale" I originally intended for it to be. This eBay account, adifrentdrumr, was established for my personal use. I find it easier to keep personal trading seperate from my business this way, which simplifies my bookkeeping and makes it easier for bidders to find the types of items they are looking for. I use this id as a "clearance" outlet for overstocks and discontinued merchandise from my business. The items I have up for auction varies considerably, depending on what part of my house I am cleaning! I have been concentrating on some other projects, and my book sales for the last year or so, but now I am starting to weed through more "hidden treasures" in my house, so there should be new and interesting stuff here often over the coming months. I have been operating an eBay store with my natureannie id on and off for a couple of years. Currently it is "dormant" but soon I will be busy stocking it with lots of great merchandise again. Eventually I plan to design a brand new website with my updated product line. I have registered the domain name natureannie.com, and will be sure to post any news of its progress here, once I start on that project... I also have an eBay member account, dollydoggy, which I am not yet using. It is named after my little "princess" and I plan on introducing a whole new line of pet oriented products under that id, with her help, of course. I make every effort to describe each item I list as accurately as possible and provide clear pictures. The buyer's satisfaction is very important to me, so I like to make everything perfectly clear before a sale is transacted. When purchasing used items, it is important to remember that there will almost always be some signs of wear and occasional damage, but I will not sell anything I do not consider usable and would not have in my own house. Any shipping prices quoted in the auction listing are for USA only, if you do not live in the USA, please email for a shipping quote to your address before submitting payment. I usually go to the post office several days a week, and excluding any unforseen circumstances, packages are shipped within 1-3 days of receiving payment, in the case of PayPal and Money Order payments, but for personal check payments I reserve the right to hold shipping for up to 10 days so the check has time to clear. Please pay in a timely manner. If for any reason you are unable to remit payment right away, please email and let me know, so we can work out arrangements. Feedback will be left on eBay when your package is shipped. I don't usually send shipping confiurmation unless it is specifically requested, but you can tell when your package is shipped by looking in your eBay feedback. If everything is okay when you receive your item, I would appreciate positive feedback in return. If there is any problem, please contact me and we will work out a mutually acceptable solution.
