Old Madala's African Trading Post

All about Old Madala's...

My name is Karen & I live in Johannesburg, South Africa ( Click here to see map )  & I have a passion for African art.
Because South Africa has many immigrants from all over Africa, I'm lucky to have access to a colourful & interesting bunch of characters who bring beautiful pieces from their home countries into South Africa.
I am not a typical collector/seller, in that I choose my pieces not only for tribal use & age, but also for aesthetic beauty or mystery. Some pieces are new, but stylistically interesting & beautiful & I feel that they deserve a place on the African art stage.

My main focus is African collectibles and art, as I live in Africa, have travelled to and still travel to many African countries, finding all sorts of wonderful items. This is one of my true passions in life.
Countries include Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Tanzania, Swaziland, Mozambique and Namibia.

Every item in my store has been carefully selected and is authentic. I often travel long distances to find unique & interesting artifacts. And because African art is my passion, every item chosen is very special and beautiful to me. In fact, my house is cluttered with items I'm supposed to sell - but I can't bear to part with them!
So, if you are looking for genuine African artifacts, what better place to find them - than here?
