Hi Everyone, this is a continuation of my Ebay Guide on Buying Authentic Vintage Gucci and Avoiding the Fakes. I am able to enter pictures here so please read my guide, vote, and view these pictures to help you enjoy purchasing Authentic Vintage Gucci!
Vintage Gucci Accessory Collection - early to mid 1980's
* All Accessory Collection Bags have a square shaped tab with "Gucci Accessory Collection" with the little gold Gucci Shield ontop as well as a Red and White Paper Authentication right underneath, however many vintage bags have lost the paper tag, photo's below:
Below are also some popular handbags from this collection that you will see often on ebay, the typical colors are Navy Blue, Brown, Tan, and Black
Vintage Gucci with Metal Tab- Late 1980's to Early 1990's
* These Bags feature Metal Tabs that will be a Square or Round shape and read "GUCCI", in all caps, "Gucci made in italy" with the Gucci Shield in front, or the gucci shield with just "Gucci" like the pictures below:
There is also a darker navy monogram color in this collection like the ones pictured below
Early Vintage Gucci- 1950's-early 1970's
These are the earliest bags before they put a tag inside Gucci Bags they would embed it with a Gold Stamp. The most familiar is the Gold stamp that reads "Gucci Made in Italy" either on the inside or on the strap. However even earlier bags have just a Gold Stamp of the Gucci Shield or just "Gucci Italy" as seen below
Below are some of my favorite Original Vintage Gucci Bags the first is the popular Blondie Bag with the big GG Medallion..This style was one of the first Gucci bags from the 1950 and was made even into the late 70's. The original Blondie's had the "Gucci Stamps", then the "GUCCI" Metal Letttering, and then the "Gucci" Plate with Gucci Shield. All styles are authentic and below are some pictures
Early to Late 1970's Vintage Gucci
During this period Gucci just started adding a Tag inside there Bags which has the Gucci Shield Embeded. Below is a picture and some bags with this tag, you'll notice many of these bags are similiar to those from the earlier 1960's with the Gold Gucci Stamp

Now Lets Discuss Fakes, Replica Gucci Bags
These can best be spotted by the cheap plastic tag similiar to to what many of the newer bags have. I personally like the old tags, these new tags are just too easily replicated. Also on some vintage bags and even new Replica's I've seen a weird square or round Gucci Tag Sewn In..

Authentic Vintage Jackie O Gucci Bag: Notice the rounded closure with gucci in small letters, there is normally no tag, but Gucci made in Itally embeded on the Handle in Gold, this Style is from the 1960's so most of the gold has most likely faded.Some of the later styles have a round Tab with Gucci Metal Plate
