Just Annie!

Hi! My name is Annie and I want to tell you a little about me.

I started buying on Ebay several years ago but never did any selling.  I have had a dream of working out of my home for about 15 years.  My husband, John, and I have put in about 50 years combined of trying to do just that.  We are distributors for health and wellness products currently, besides we both have full time jobs.

My health has gone from bad to badder ... yeah, I know that is not a word, but that is how I feel! I still keep up with a 40 hour week in business accounting, our wellness products, a 10 yr old son, Ebay, crafting, and I also do weddings as an officiator.

I want to quit my daytime job and just work out of the home as each day seems to make me hurt more than the day before.  It is not a bad dream ... to not have to literally hoist myself out of my bed and out the door to go to a job where I don't feel appreciated! My dream is the opposite ... To stay at home and only have to work on my "good" days.  But I think maybe 95% of all Ebayers probably have that same dream!

Did you know it is very hard to make money on Ebay? I have had good bids and terrific customers ... but I'll be hanged if I don't go and bid on stuff myself! I read that one Seller said she was "feeding" her Ebay habit by selling so she could buy ... Yep, I got the same disease!

I will be crafting some beautiful hair pieces for really any occasion.  You generally see flowers, beads, etc in girl's hair for proms and weddings ... but hey ... I think I invented flowers in the hair .. not San Francisco!  I wear mine most all of the time.  So that is an item I will be adding to my store ... I will even do special orders for colors ... if I have enough advance warning!

I also have a little "at home" jewelry shoppe.  I have alot of nice pieces and alot of low cost items.  I will try to list some of those too.  I look the country over for nice clothes and many I have outgrown that are just too good to keep buried in my closet!

That is about all I can say about me ... So read on and check out some of my "fine print" and policies!

• Ok, we all have to put up rules and regulations.  It is sad but a handshake is not what it used to be!
• Please read all of these!
• 1. Your bid is your contract, your electronic handshake. You bid and win, you pay!
• 2. I have a very lenient "payment due" policy.
•           There is a 7 day continued bidding period from the day that the first auction is won.  Any bids entered into that 7 days have a payment due date of within 3 days of the final win date (this makes it technically 10 days from the first bid if you happen to bid on a second item on the 7th day of your first bid!).  If I have not heard from you by the second day after the final win date I will try to send you one last reminder, but even if I am not able to send that reminder, the policy stands that the item(s) will be relisted or will be offered to the next highest bidder.  If you REALLY want the item(s), and you have kept in contact with me during the bidding/winning period I will review your situation on an individual basis.  I try to be fair to my customers as I would appreciate the same kindness were I in certain situations.
• 3. I do not ever refund shipping and handling costs ... someone had to pay for them and it won't be me.
• 4. If any of my auctions are not by some reason as I have described, then I will gladly take back the item and issue the buyer a merchandise credit for the auction price of that item, plus a coupon good for 25% off of the next auction won.  The return shipping is the buyer's responsibilty, and a return authorization ( RGA ) must be requested via email before the item is to be returned. Sometimes there are better ways to handle a return than by actually returning the item and paying John Doe Shipper more money! 
• 5. I DO combine wins.  I have a standard policy for combining, but each auction has it's own policies if noted, and then any of the standard policies are not applicable. Any item listed with a "flat rate" does not combine shipping unless the items are similar. Please always check with me if you want to make sure on this.
• Be sure to read everything on the auction pages!
•        As per the combining feature of Ebay, the auto calc will combine the weights of all wins and then give you the final shipping fee based on the total product weight.
•         Offering the flat rate shipping was the easiest way to go, but it was not practical for me. I have once again implemented that again.
• 6. I would like to make a note to all of the buyers.  I have read on some feedbacks that there were complaints against sellers for charging an additional handling fee.  If you stop to consider that it really is not an added fee to pad the sellers' pockets, but just a very small amount to help defray the actual auction fees.
•       It costs a seller an average of $1.00 to post an auction, then we list an item for $2.99 and the bid is won at that price plus $5.00 shipping. So the seller, as an hypothetical transaction, collects $2.99 (bid), $1.00 (handling), $5.00 (shipping)=$8.99.  Then the seller pays $5.00 (shipping), $1.00 (listing fees), $.50 (final value fee), $.50 (paypal fee)= $ .99 (profit) .... but then you have to take into consideration the packaging materials, the gas to go to the shipping depot, any money invested in the product already, the monthly Ebay fees for your store front ... and other stuff I am forgetting right now.
•      So the profit of .99 cents has now become a severe loss.  So please remember that when you get a real good deal, which I love to get too, it is not making the seller rich!  And these were just guestimates!
•        Last month my listing fees were way more than my earnings.  This is a reality, if we as sellers do not keep a good inventory rolling out, then we are losing money.
•       Any time I offer FREE shipping with the "BUY NOW" price, I will not charge any shipping on that one item, however, a small $1.00 handling/processing fee will apply.  I will gladly combine free ship with other auction wins as long as all products can be shipped together, and it is understood that the free ship item will be classified as an extra item in re: shipping cost, and then that added item shipping will be free.
• PLEASE NOTE: These are my standard policies, each auction may have a specific policy and that would supercede the standard.  Also I retain the option to lower a shipping cost after a win, but I will never raise one.
• 7. I do NOT like negative feedback, it is the absolute pits.  When a seller does the very best to auction and ship products and something goes amiss, we get a negative feedback ... so my policy is this:
•           I will never, NEVER leave negative feedback on a seller unless they have unjustly left it for me, or they have proven to unworthy of a good feedback (ie: items not shipped etc.)  I will NEVER leave negative feedback for a buyer that has communicated well with me and if a problem arose worked it out to both of our satisfaction.  Unless a negative feedback was left without ever contacting me first.
•          I am honest and I hope that all buyers and sellers are too, but sadly again, that is not so.  Negative feedback is a killer to a seller or a buyer.  You should think first before EVER doing that to a person.  It can mean the difference in literally losing your online presence in ebay .... please, not just for me, but for all of your transactions ... think first and contact the buyer/seller ... work it out!
•        As a seller, I will leave the buyer feedback after you have left it for me.
•        As a buyer, I will leave the seller feedback after I receive my items.
• 8.I have a UPS account for shipping, but they do cost an awful lot.   I try not to use them! My first two months as a seller I only did a flat rate shipping cost, and for those two months I ended up in the hole paying for shipping. I would charge $3.00 and the post office got $4.29 out of me ...  I realized there was something wrong with this!  So I hate to do it, but I have to roll with the flow, I must make sure that all of the cost to me is covered. The truth about those two months ... I paid out so much in shipping that I ended up losing money off of the entire auctions! Now ain't that a real kick in the head!?
•           So on most of my auctions I try to give you three choices for shipping and I have selected the three that prove to be the lowest cost.  If there is any other shipping method you have in mind, then please ask me.  I will even ship with your own shipping account numbers and give you back the shipping credit from the auction.  I will, however, apply the handling fee of just $1.00 per item.
