What is
The Archives?

The Archives was founded in the search to restore
the legacy of Milton H. Greene.
Milton H. Greene
died in 1985 believing that 80% of his 300,000 image collection was lost forever to deterioration. His son, Joshua Greene spent the next ten years searching for a way to restore his fathers photography.
After many attempts with traditional restoration practices, Joshua Greene discovered the miracle of Digital Restoration. In 1994 he founded The Archives.
The Archives
has digitally restored hundreds of Milton's original images to date, and is actively involved in restoring other historical collections both public and private.
The Archives
now represents over 1,000,000 (one million) classic and stock images created by renowned artists and photographers, focusing primarily on the subjects of celebrity, fashion & home decor. The Archives represents the collections of
Milton Greene,
David Sutton,
Joshua Greene, and
Bruni.
With hundreds of products, advertisement, and television credits,
The Archives
is becoming recognized as a leader in providing quality images for licensing and purchase.
The Archives is proud to have worked with Vanity Fair, Life, Entertainment Weekly, People, Playboy, A & E, Newsweek, TV Guide, Time, Vogue, Simon & Schuster, MGM Grand Hotel, Neiman Marcus, Bradford Exchange, Franklin Mint, Graphique de France, RCA Records, EMI Music, Rhino Records, Capitol Records, ABC: 20/20, Entertainment Tonight, E Channel, CBS, BBC, and many more.
