OVERVIEW
Hi! My name is John Hewes, and I am the owner of John's Genealogy and Family Books. I sell new and used books for children; philatelic (stamps) items/supplies; genealogy tools; and a few other miscelaneous items along the way.
MY EBAY STORE: Clifford The Big Red Dog
My specialty is Clifford the Big Red Dog. I have a large inventory. I sell new and used books. I also sell Clifford toys, plush/beanies, puzzles, and other interesting Clifford accessories to enhance the "Clifford" experience. You will find that my prices, and my shipping charges are among the lowest on eBay (especially on combined purchases) Even so, I don't skimp on quality! I describe my books as they are, and my feedback attests to this.
MY EBAY STORE: Philatelic and Ephemera
My father is a retired stamp dealer, and I too have an interest in philately (stamp collecting). I sell stamps, covers, and supplies to collectors, much of it from my father's accumulations. I sell a lot of stamp stockbooks, new and used. I also feature interesting vintage ephemera, such as advertising items, greeting cards, historical brochures and other items "from the basement".

My hobby is genealogy, and I also feature a number of books, software and other items which are of interest to other genealogy buffs.

MY BACKGROUND
As for my background, I am a Registered Nurse. I work in a local hospital. My hobby is genealogy, and I host two websites, The McMains Research and Collaboration Site, and The Melanathy Surname Site. Genealogy is my passion and other than my nursing occupation, the subject area that I know the most about. I also am an avid consumer rights advocate, and I am politically involved through several channels in fighting for our rights as consumers. I am married to a lovely wife, have 6 children, and also a grand-father of 6.
I've done some interesting things in my life as well. I volunteered as a camp nurse for three summers at Camp Grow, which is on the shore of Green Lake, in Wisconsin. I also used to work as a Police/Fire/911 dispatcher, and I attended a lot of college (an more to come I'm sure).
