I got started selling on Ebay in August 1999,at the age of 57, and have been at it full time off and on since then!
I am a retired successful restauranteur of 20+ yrs,and found Ebay a nice way too keep in touch with the business part of me!
I was going to downsize and move to Florida,so I went to garage sales and house sales to see how they were conducted(so I could have my own)and got caught up in the EXCITEMENT OF IT ALL!--
Before the restaurant business consumed my life,I was a High School Art Teacher for 7 yrs,and then imported,wholesaled,and designed jewelry.I also owned a Bead Store in the Mid 70's and 3 Boutique Shops! I have exhibited in galleries in the U.S. and Europe! Very recently,I returned to college for two semesters and took painting and printmaking classes. My painting won first place in the college's juried art show and one of my prints was bought by the college for their collection.
I am certified to teach art in Florida
The neighborhood,in which I lived in Ohio,was full of old wealth and wonderful house sales and when I visit there,I always manage to get some new exciting items
I believe in describing my items listed on Ebay in great detail and always take a magnifying glass to every piece prior to listing to make sure I haven't missed anything. I feel very strongly about making sure my customer has all the information needed to feel comfortable in buying from me!
Since moving to Florida in 2002,most of my items are concentrated around the vaste bead and jewelry collection that I have acquired from the 1970's
Upon occasion I come across some very collectible items here also!
