About the Artist: 

MARIE L. DOTSON

I offer original paintings, (not prints), in watercolor, unframed and unmatted to present a price everyone can afford. I have sold hundreds of paintings on eBay and at art shows and galleries and hope you will enjoy the work I present.

Watercolor is my medium of choice although I also work in acrylic and oil. I have been painting professionally for over 15 years and also taught while living in the Ozarks. I am a graphic artist by trade and enjoy painting to round out my creativity.

Growing up in the rural Missouri Ozark Mountains and also living for many years on the Texas Gulf Coast provides me with a large variety of scenes from memory and personal reference photographs and when time allows the luxury, some plein air painting.  Landscapes, Seascapes, Portraits, Southwestern, Marine (boats, harbors, etc.), Floral, Garden and Farm scenes are included in my collection. I also do commission paintings of old homes.

I give special thanks to God for giving me the ability to create art for myself and others.
