Hello! Hajimemashite... douzo yoroshiku!
Thank you for viewing my About Me page.
I am an artist, a poet, a massage therapist, and a mother of 3.
My husband is Japanese, so he can translate anything if necessary as far as purchasing items Japanese. We have a young family, so I am quite busy with our family life.
Need a video phone for distant relative communications, maybe some household items here and there, to make our home cozy and lovely even while young children run wild with crayons and pens.
So I am here for buying a few needed things on eBay-- in fact, I am new and learning about it.
Eventually I may learn to sell my handmade jewelry here, and my husband may sell his handmade "akari" or paper lanterns, but for now, I am, simply, a buyer. |

I love Japanese woodblock prints, "hanga-e", and "shunga-e" (also politely called "bedroom prints"as they are the erotic images that illustrated "pillow books").
I am a lover of Japan, Japanese poetry and art, and items related to Edo period Japan.
I love the poetry of Ono No Komachi and Izumi Shikibu in particular.
Anything to do with Geisha history, culture, and artifacts-- kimono/obi fabrics and hair ornaments (kanzashi).
Also I love the modern novelist Murakami Haruki.
I have eclectic tastes, but generally anything beautiful.
I also have a thing for Indian saris and like to use them for draping along the ceiling in my massage studio and window areas at home since the colors are so fabulously radiant. |
