Ashley Speranzella-Evans or Ash Evans is a self supported, fantasy artist. She currently lives just outside of Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, three cats, three rabbits, chinchilla, and a very spoiled Chihuahua. In 2006 Ashley began marketing her artwork full time through her own company, Phoenixx Fire Studios. She currently runs it with her husband, Johnnie Evans, and together they market and sell her work at various sites and conventions.

Ash works primarily with oil paint, though she enjoys other mediums such as: acrylic, digital media, watercolor, pastels, sculpture, ink and photography. Her main passion is fantasy art, especially dragons and unicorns. She also loves expanding on the world of the Purrsnicketys, her own dragon cat creations. She accepts free-lance works on a limited basis, such as, custom paintings, animal portraits and illustrations.

Over the past ten years, Ash has studied music and art in the United States and Europe. She held her first solo fantasy art show in the spring of 2005. Ash has licensed her work to several companies and she is always looking to expand into new projects and merchandise. She really enjoys the creative process involved with licensing. Her work has also been published through Artwanted.com, and is featured in their 2006-2008 calendars. During the spring of 2006, Ash started her first convention circuit, which was a huge success. She also plans on making more appearances and doing more conventions and faires. Early next year she plans on releasing her first art book. She is also currently working on writing and illustrating her first children’s book Z is for Zombie as well as a Purrsnicketys graphic novel to be published in late 2008.

Ashley’s inspiration for her work comes from a life long love of animals, and working with her local animal hospital and rescue agencies. Her goal is to someday be a widly published fantasy artist. She enjoys horseback riding and travel
