Hello fellow classical music lovers! My name is James, I'm 32 and I live outside of Seattle, Washington with my wife Gladys and our sweet daughter Simone. I've been in love with all kinds of classical music since age 9, when I started piano lessons. I used to do a lot of composing as well - in fact, I majored in music composition at Oberlin College. I decided to switch careers to software development and QA for more stability, but music never left my heart. Though I don't compose much any more, I still play piano often and I listen obsessively: Renaissance, avant-garde, mainstream repertoire, composers you've never heard of, and everything in between - almost all classical, but I also enjoy good jazz and classic '60s and '70s rock.
I started selling pieces of my collection on eBay in September 2006 to finance my habit of buying new recordings - my desire (you might even say need) to explore new musical experiences was much bigger than my budget! It's done quite well and now I keep my collection in a state of constant change - I'm selling about 100-150 recordings a month and buying just as many.
