Welcome! Here I will tell you a little about myself and my instruments. I am a violinst and string bass player, and have been playing for many years. I have played in symphony orchestras, string ensembles, jazz bands, and Broadway muscial theater productions. My goal in starting Belri (which means "beautiful") Music Company was to provide high quality instruments to the Ebay community at affordable prices. I do not sell seconds, close-outs, or liquidation items as other sellers on Ebay do. Every instrument I sell is first quality in every way. I will not sell an instrument I would not play myself.
It took me many months of research, travel and negotiation to find top notch luthiers and manufacturers who would work within my specifications and price points. My violins, violas and cellos sound wonderful, even the least expensive ones. Of course, the higher the price, the better the sound, but they all have great projection, wonderful resonance, and beautiful tone. I am confident the tone and quality of these instruments cannot be matched for the price on Ebay, or anywhere.
We also offer high quality, band instruments, including brass and woodwinds for students of all levels. Our band instruments are the very best available for the money. They are brand new, perfect, beautiful, well-made, instruments and come with a high quality sturdy, hard case, lined in velvet. Our instruments are not seconds, close-outs, or liquidated goods, as some are on Ebay.
In general, the instruments I sell would cost 3 to 4 times as much in a retail store, and some of my higher priced instruments would retail for even more than that. So, they are really a GREAT VALUE at my Buy-it-Now prices.
I back up all my instruments with a 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTY if for any reason the buyer wishes to return an instrument. I want each person that buys one of my instruments to be truly happy with it.
The Stradivarius "Hellier" Model Violin
All of my stringed instruments are Stradivarius copies, made with high quality, solid, aged woods. The tops are all made of beautiful, fine, even grained spruce. The backs, sides, neck and scroll are made of high quality, beautiful, flamed or bird's eye maple. The finger boards, chin rests, tail piece and pegs are all made of high quality ebony, rosewood, or jujube, as described in each listing. The strings and bridges are all good quality, with the finest quality on the professional and soloist instruments. Some of the brand names we use are Aubert, Dominant, Crystal, Prelude, Tonica, and Red Label.
BELRI MUSIC STRINGED INSTRUMENT MODELS
Prelude- A good-sounding, economical choice for the beginner to advanced student. These models have a strong, warm, and pleasing tone. They are solid wood. No laminants are used. These violins, violas and cellos start at under $130, $199, and $399, respectively. They are a practical choice for students that are just trying out music lessons and may not go on to become serious students. In most cases, buying one of these brand new instruments is less than renting an old beat-up instrument for a year.
Arpeggio - A high quality instrument for the beginner to advanced student, with lovely tone and beautiful flamed back. The tonewoods have been properly aged for 7 years. These violins, violas and cellos start at only $199, $299, and $499, respectively. Violins include Prelude or Red Label strings.
Sonata - A higher quality instrument for beginner through advanced students with beautiful tone and highly flamed back. The tonewoods have properly been dried for 8 years. These violins, violas and cellos start at only $299, $399, and $499. Violins include Prelude strings.
Concerto - An exceptional instrument for beginner through advanced, concert violinists with beautiful rich, warm, brilliant, and sweet tones, and beautiful 10-year aged tone woods with a highly flamed back. These violins, violas and cellos start at only $399, $499, and $599, respectively. Violins Include Crystal strings, violas include Prelude strings.
Symphony - This is our latest model which has been added to our line of violins, as a result of many requests. It offers superior tone, matching that of the Maestro, Hellier, and Virtuoso models, but in a traditional, antique style, copy of a Stradivarius violin. It includes Crystall strings and starts at $599.
Maestro - A magnificent bird's eye or highly flamed instrument suitable for beginner through professional violinists. Gorgeous, strong, rich, brilliant and sweet tones, superb workmanship, and beautiful 15-year aged tone woods. These violins, violas and cellos start at only $599. Violins include Crystal strings.
Hellier - An exquisite violin with mother-of-pearl purfling and/or hand inlaid ebony vines on ribs and scroll, for professional & soloist violinists. These are copies of the famous "Hellier" violin by Stradivarius. Same tonal quality and dried tone woods as the Maestro. These violins start at only $599 and include Crystal strings. Violas and cellos will be quoted on an individual basis.
Virtuoso - A magnificently embellished violin with hand inlaid mother-of-pearl and abalone designs and artwork, handcarved fancy scrolls, pegs, tail pieces, etc., for professional & soloist violinists. Same tonal quality and dried tone woods as the Maestro. These are available in violins only and start at only $599.
Most models are availiable in many different sizes. Strings are upgraded on all violins except the Preludes. Every instrument comes with a free octagonal, brazilwood, unbleached horsehair bow (Retail Price $49 to $69) and good quality rosin. Also, provided free is a high quality, light weight, canvas case with velvet lining, blanket, and lots of storage (Retail Price $149 to $169). Some have hygrometers. Read the specifics about the cases in the individual listings. These two items would retail at $200 to $270 plus. When you take that into consideration, the value is obvious.
PRICING:
The sound, or tone, of my instruments is what makes them better than most on Ebay, and the price reflects the sound. As with all stringed instruments, old or new, the better the sound, the higher the price. I assure you, as an artist, you will not be disappointed with the sound or the workmanship of my stringed violins.
HOW DOES SOUND AFFECT THE STUDENT?
If you are buying an instrument for a student, either yourself or your child, sound is almost the only thing that matters. A student will enjoy practicing, gain confidence in his playing, and steadily progress if the sounds he makes are pleasing to his ear. If they are harsh and unpleasant, he will probably not want to practice or continue with his studies. So, give your student the chance to succeed by investing in the best instrument you can.
