I have found some of the most wonderful treasures here and met some of the nicest sellers and enjoy spending time browsing and reading and learning about all the old glass collectible and decorative items which are my favorites. It has been a wonderful couple of years.

Now however I will no longer be doing anymore eBay bidding.  So I am saying goodbye to all the fine sellers I have had the fortune to work with.

I slowed down considerably when eBay decided sellers could no longer leave Neutral or Negative feedback but buyers still could as I considered that unfair. The only feedback a Seller can leave is positive or none yet a Buyer can leave none, neutral, positive or negative. Why? Someone said it was to keep sellers from leaving retaliatory fb.  So buyers can be nasty and now sellers can't respond when it's deserved?  A buyer can say any nasty thing and a seller can only reply which won't give a true picture of the buyer to other sellers who might just look at the overall score and not go through all the feedbacks and feedback replies to read it all.

Now I find that eBay is forcing buyers to use credit cards or paypal etc. only and will no longer allow sellers to accept other payment methods such as Money Orders.  For me, that is unacceptable.  You have just eliminated a very good and reliable buyer and again you are restricting sellers.  I believe sellers should have the right to accept whatever payment methods they feel comfortable with and the sellers and buyers should be able to complete the transaction in a manner they both agree to and not be restricted by eBay requiring electronic payment methods only.

I am not a seller and have never wished to be a seller.  They have the burden of most of the work for certain and you should not be restricting them is my opinion.

Either way, I am done with eBay.  So long, it was real nice while it lasted.
