We are a couple, not a business. We started selling on eBay to rid our house of some of what we've collected over the years. Sometimes the things we sell are called "Sit Around’s" in the South. We need to rid ourselves of some of our STUFF so when we retire there won't be alot our children will have to help us move. We don’t want to hear, “Why do you have so much”. On top of it, we will be moving to a REAL small town and REAL smaller house, so some things have to go. We try to be as honest as we want others to be, and realistic prices & shipping is what we try to do. I've purchased items on eBay I just couldn't resist, and have been very overcharged on the shipping a few times. Overall, eBay really has some great honest people buying and selling.
In the new feedback system, buyers have left feedback on our shipping charges being too much. We don't profit on postage, it is high anyway, why take advantage of someone? We only charge what it cost to ship plus a 50 cents service/handling charge, which is quite reasonable if you look at some sellers excessive shipping/handling rates. We can't regulate the USPS.
I am sometimes a little under what we've charged a buyer for postage, and sometimes postage is more than what we have charged, and we absorb what we didn’t calculate correctly and we do refund overcharges on postage.
He doesn’t like my pink, but I think it’s a great color !!!
