Simple Bear Necessities came about because I had a son and decided I just couldn't leave home without him - much like American Express, it would seem. Since most bosses don't approve of you stashing your kid under your desk at work, not leaving home Without him meant staying at home With him! So I needed a way to make a little extra money, and to feel like I still had a connection to the outside world. His nickname is "Bear" so I knew I wanted to incorporate that into the name of my store. I also knew that I wouldn't really be selling ONE thing in particular...and we LOVE The Jungle Book.... :o) So Simple Bear Necessities just seemed to work nicely.
I started out with mostly music items, but in the past couple months have expanded a little to add a few different things. I've started selling things for my mother, mother-in-law and neighbors :o) Eventually I'd like to get to the place where I go out and look for cool or unique things and try to sell those as well! It's definitely a work in progress!
