Who We Are & What We Do
Salaam! Artist Mich Rabushka Lysik became disillusioned with the Western capitalist model in August 2000 and went underground. She lives in the US with her husband Andrzej Lysik, 3 cats, and 2 birds in the witchy town of Coventry, CT. The following is what she and her cohort have been up to after falling off the planet.
UberKuchi
Salaam. We are dedicated to helping displaced Afghanis who have fled the series of wars since 1979. During the last Afghan war even more civilians were displaced, externally and internally, adding to the huge numbers of refugees already dislodged from nearly 25 years of constant war. Afghanistan represented the world's largest refugee population according to the UN High Commission on Refugees. Many Afghanis who had left their country went looking for work in Pakistan, Iran, India, and Indonesia. Now many are returning home to Afghanistan. We are striving to stimulate demand by creating a robust export market for their goods. We have jewelry and textiles from Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan offered for sale. It is some of the most magical stuff on the planet. Read the story about Marjan the Lion, a true Afghan hero. His name means precious stone in Farsi. His story is old now but I thought it was worth repeating. Allahu Akbar!
Stone Art
Mich's chosen medium is sandblasted and carved stone. We produce traditional and custom two-dimensional relief designs on natural stone, primarily marble and granite. We make pet tombs, memorials, book ends, incense, tarot, and wand boxes. Each is hand made, from initial freehand sketching to the final blasting stage. We do not use lasers. We specialize in religous and metaphysical symbols associated with both Eastern and estern mystery traditions including Wiccan, Celtic, Egyptian, Roman, Islamic, Kabbalistic, and Christian. We offer certain species of hand carved stone, including Lapis Lazuli, as scarabs and protective amulets. Art Thou Not Dying to Get Stoned?
