I do not specialize in rare or collectible books. As an avid reader myself, I specialize in books for readers to read and enjoy. A Brief History of Books-2-Read Books-2-read is a continuing chapter in a long story, a story of transformation, an ongoing journey of sorts... For quite some time I have been selling things on eBay. It all started in 1999 when I decided to close Paradise America, a shop I opened in 1987 in central New Jersey. This eBay seller account was originally called "paradiseamerica", and I used it to clear out some of the merchandise I had left after closing the shop. I also used the eBay seller account natureannie for a different line of merchandise, and for a while had an eBay store "Nature Annie's Goods for Growth". By separating my different types of merchandise I made it easier for buyers to find what they were looking for, and for myself to keep track of transactions. In addition to the two 'business' accounts I started out with on eBay, I also have established adifrentdrumr for my personal transactions, and for recycling previously owned merchandise and things I was clearing out of my home. As time passed, I gradually phased out my entire Paradise America business and stopped using this eBay account completely. I also began selling lots of books on my adifrentdrumr account, in addition to used clothes, household goods and other odds and ends. Eventually I was able to make connections allowing me to resell brand new books, mostly publisher's overstocks and remainders. Then one day, a flash of inspiration -- I should start using this seller account for the books, and keep them all together in one place!! -- I changed the seller name and ... Eureka!!! Books-2-Read was born!!! After a while, I took a break from selling books and other things on my other eBay accounts, and in September of 2006, with the eBay seller id dollydoggy, I started a brand new venture on eBay, my eBay store Especially Fur You Pet Boutique It is my full-time business now, and rapidly expanding. But I still find myself with too little space in my house, and a lot of books that need new homes. So I have decided to once again start selling some of them on eBay. This time around, I have added an eBay store for Books-2-Read, but I will still be listing some books in auction format when I can find time. I'm baaaaack!!! Condition of Books For all books, both new and used, condition is clearly listed on the item listing at the end of the description along with other specifics. I try to describe damage accurately as possible. Most used books in my collection are in pristine condition, some not as well preserved. All books I sell are quite readable, even the well-used ones. I will not offer for sale books that have missing pages, excessive markings or any other damage that would render them unreadable -- or I couldn't call myself books-2-read!!
