About Me!
My name is Brian Anderson, and I live in Las Vegas, NV. Trust me, it's not as exciting as some people think. <g> I’ve lived here for 13 years now, and I really wouldn’t mind someplace new!
In 2006, I became disabled by a neuropathic disorder that is still under investigation by my many physicians. This condition caused significant nerve damage, as well as severe pain and weakness in both legs. Because of this, I had to stop working, which was a big shock, as I expected to work for many, many more years to come. Even more surprising is that I actually miss it, and I never thought I would miss going to work. <g>
So, in order to keep myself from going completely stir crazy stuck in the house all day long, I turned to jigsaw puzzles. They keep me occupied and my brain functioning, and keep my mind off of everything else. :-) After buying my first few puzzles, I became enthralled with Thomas Kinkade puzzles, and became determined to own them all. Those and a few other choice images, I glue together, then I glue them to poster board to keep them from bending and curling. So now my Kinkade collection is almost complete. I still have a small list I am searching for, not to mention many other puzzle types as well.
In the beginning, I was buying all my puzzles at retail stores, and only recently did I discover EBAY. Since I did, I have found numerous puzzles I was searching for, Kinkades and others as well. I also discovered thrift stores and yard sales, not to mention I have received many, many, many puzzles from friends and family. When I find a puzzle that is unopened or even an open one that has a decent image for a great price, I buy it. Some of the unopened ones that I really like, I am keeping until I have a chance to put it together myself and possibly glue, but a lot of them, I decided to start selling without opening them. And I might still sell some of the other ones after I have a chance to complete them. ALL of the opened ones, I will not sell until I have a chance to complete it, or count it if I know for sure the exact count. That way I get to put it together, but instead of gluing them, I can give someone else a chance at it, or at least count and verify it is complete before selling it. Unfortunately, I have purchased puzzles on EBAY that turned out not to be complete. Most of the sellers I bought from did refund my money on those, but I have had the AS-IS experience as well, so that was money wasted. I can't do that to my customers, and I don't want to have to refund for missing pieces either. So I decided that I will complete and/or count to verify all the open puzzles before I sell them. This way everyone will be happy! Unfortunately, many brands out there, like Springbok, and others, might say 1000 pieces on the box, but it could actually have 1000-1099. For some reason, they don't like to show the actual count, so these types will be completed. Ceaco, Buffalo Games, & Bepuzzled are just a few that have accurate counts on their boxes, so those may be counted or completed.
And, for those of you that also enjoy the Kinkade series, I ended up with quite a few dupicates, from multi-sets on EBAY, thrift stores, yard sales, and even friends and family giving me puzzles. So as soon as I get the open ones counted or completed, I will post those for sale as well! This is another series that gives accurate piece counts, if they are by Ceaco. The sealed ones I acquire I will put up right away.
If you are searching for a particular puzzle title, please contact me. I would be happy to check my inventory, or if I don't have it, will keep my eye out for it. I currently have over 1000 puzzles that I will eventually be selling! So I may have what you are looking for. I'm happy to put it together or count it quickly and place it up for auction for you! I can usually get regular 1000 piece puzzles together in 1-3 days, depending on circumstances.
I will also be selling some other misc. items that I come across or acquire as I am able to.
I also have one other collection that I started many years ago, and that is Snowmen! I love snowmen decorations, and collect any cute snowman item I find, from figurines to wall hanging decorations, from kitchenware to throw pillows, from plush to candles, and many more. My collection currently consists of over 500 pieces of snowman decorations, and each year I find more. I have actually found some of my favorite pieces at 99cent stores. I am actually running out of room, not only in storage, but also to display them each Christmas! :-) There's also the cost, so I don't buy those as much at this time. So once in a while, I may buy a snowman or two on here, if I like it, and depending on the price! |
