 A STORY.........On How I Got Started..................
Sanford and Son Auction's was originally established in 1983 when My good talent for sales inspired me to have a yard sale(at that time I didn't have a garage) The Sanford family sold all their belongings to finance the new venture. The money paid for one month's rent of a reconverted Barn, a down payment on a typewriter a small desk and a few office supplies along with a small inventory of Junk (Another Mans Treasure). With the seats removed from my 1974 Nova four door, Treasures were delivered daily to a few local shops. At first orders totaled about 2 per day, but soon orders were coming in for 10 per day. To make these sales, the work day consisted of 12 hours per day for two people. Two years later we were making approximately 200 sales daily and acquired a big truck. Fifteen years later we were making several hundred sales per day to dealers and folks like you through the mail via the computer. Profits were still small so we incorparated, Sanford and Son Treasures Inc., and opened a retail outlet in Phoenix, AZ. At first we only sold Books, but gradually various items were introduced. With the addition of two key ingredients throughout the years-great customers and employees-Sanford and Son has grown to over 5 locations located in the western and southern states.
