Hi everyone,
My name is Christine and I am a mother of three grown daughters, two grand daughters and another grand? on the way. I don't know why but we seem to proliferate the female population in this family. Maybe the new baby to be will be a boy, we can hope.
Some of my fondest memories as a child were of playing dolls for endless hours with my granny. I would pack up my trunk of Barbies and off I would go to spend the weekend with grandma. She would patiently sit on the living room floor and we would play for hours. We would dress and undress those dolls over and over. Then some point during the weekend she would take me shopping for new doll clothes, what a treat it was. As I look back now I realize it was probably the only way she could get off the floor and get a break from the endless dressing and undressing of those dolls. I loved those dolls and my granny so.
When my girls were little I passed on my love of dolls to them and we too played for hours dressing and undressing thier dolls. Sadly as they grew older they doll playing lessened until it finally came to an end. And again many fond memories were made along the way.
Now along comes my 4 year old grand daughter to the world of dolls. She packs up her suit case with her dolls and thier clothes and heads to my house to spend the weekend. I sit for hours on the floor and help her dress and undress those dolls and when my hips can no longer take the hard floor I take her out and we buy something new for her dolls. The tradition continues and I look forward to every second of it. A girl and her doll is a very special thing.
