Diane Millsap paints a wide variety of subjects: florals, landscapes, cityscapes and abstracts. She is most well known for her New Orleans street scenes and her abstracts. Her paintings hang in many private and corporate collections accross the country and abroad.
Diane Millsap is a full-time, professional artist. Born in Southern California, and raised in the Chicago area, she and her husband now live in rural northern Illinois. She received her formal art training at Western Illinois University and from her mother, an accomplished watercolor artist. After a career in furniture design, she now paints full time. Her style ranges from impressionistic to abstract.
She draws her subject matter from her diverse background and her many travels. She says that travel is her greatest source of inspiration. "I want to experience new things and convey my impressions through my art. I am always looking for a fresh approach or a new direction."
Diane's paintings hang in many private and corporate collections across the country and abroad. Her style is constantly evolving, but a love of color and emotional expression is a common thread which runs through each piece.
Currently, her work is published in the US by Ariel of France and the Roaring Brook Art Company. Diane's art is protected by US copyright law and reproduction, in any form, must have her expressed written consent.
