I tell my friends to always check with me first, before they buy anything.
Just like I said ...."You Name It...I've Got it"
One day I asked my daughter what on earth she was going to do with all of my "stuff" when I "croaked". Her answer was priceless. She said that she was going to just leave my home "as is" and everyday she would sell a different category -
Mondays - Shoes and Handbags
Tuesdays - Jewelry and Accessories
Wednesdays - Ladies Clothing - including Vintage
Thursdays - Dishes, China, Crystal,
Fridays - Table linens and accessories - napkins, napkins rings, etc
Saturdays - Antique Furniture
Sundays -Collections-chess sets, creches, chickens, cats, etc
She said "The Store" would become world famous and people would come from everywhere to shop and see this amazing "collection" .....a veritable "Treasure Trove" of goodies and she would become a multi millionaire" .
Well, I thought about this for awhile and decided that I, myself, might want to take advantage of such an outstanding situation; particularly since I didn't have to "croak" to enjoy the opportunity. So, I started my investigaton to find the best outlet for my incredible multi-million dollar inventory and there it was right before my eyes......EBAY. Plus, I could do exactly what my daughter planned to do upon my demise...It was really uncanny..I could just leave everything, intact, in my home - no expensive store rental -plus didn't have to clean up the "hovel" for the "hordes" of people to come and shop and it even had worldwide exposure without expensive advertising - and the potential for me to become a multimillionaire. What a concept. One might think that my dear daughter was the originator of the Ebay principal!!!!!
So, anyway, here I am - setting forth on a new adventure and having a wonderful time. I am 71 years "young" and I think I must have been born shopping. My sister-in-law sent me card one time, that showed this red-headed lady (which I am), and stacks and stacks of shoes & shoeboxes (which I collect) on the cover and on the inside it said "I shop--therefore I am". I have never seen a more appropiate card. It would be easier to list what I haven't collected rather than what I have. Now, since my 2000 sq. foot home is completely full and running over, and I have added four (4) 10 x 16 storage buildings in my back yard, the time has come to stop and let go!!!!!
The journey (I've shopped all over the world) has been wonderful and I have throughly enjoyed my acquisitions. Now, it is "comforting" to be able to find new homes for my "treasures". I am very pleased to join the Ebay Family and look forward to many successful transactions and new friends.
