My name is Cathi and here is a little about me and my store...
Many years ago, I owned a Bridal and Special Occassion Dress Store, and loved buying and selling and meeting people. My business grew and grew and itbecame harder and harder to manage a family and a business, because I also had several children. Then in 1992, an opportunity presented itself where we met and decided to adopt a young abandoned teenage Romanian boy and I sold my store. Our life suddenly became so full, with our own children and a new teenage son. Through that experience, my husband and I began to work with young people. We opened up a coffee house to help create a safe place for teenagers, as we watched our own teens needing options for a place to "hang out". This continued to grow until we had hundreds and hundreds of young people coming around and we developed a full time youth center. If you are interested in this our website is www.souledout.net
Although our children have now grown (our teenage Romanian boy is now and adult and doing well as a happy and succesful gymnastic coach!!) we still work with Souled Out. And, although I still love my "day" job, I have always loved retail (and found out that I really missed it!). When I discovered Ebay, it was the perfect solution for a frustrated retailer and someone that was needing money to support the growing youth ministry and our own family (I still have 2 in college!!!!)
Because I am an old retailer, I am very committed to customer service. Ebay is supposed to be fun, and if you are not happy, well then I am not happy!
I specialize in selling vintage treasures with an emphasis on Vintage photos. I love looking at old images of faces of people that we will never see again..they are true works of art..God's works of art. I love knowing the stories of all the people and love finding these beloved pieces of history. Sometimes when you look at photos of people, you realize there are so many stories, (every life has a story!) The name of my ebay business is Chatham Ho Treasures which is part of my story and from my family. The name belonged to my great great grandfather, who was a happy man that also had his own store (he owned a Candy Store) and lived a rich full life.
So that is a little of the history of my ebay experience. I hope that you will find treasures as well...as we learn from the past and enjoy today!!
