We try to match up tops and bottoms close to the waist sizes, but some of these items go by 20's, W's and X's! Vickie and Taurie
We are a mother/daughter team--we love colors and fabrics! I made most of my own clothes growing up and designed my own prom and wedding gowns because I did not like the styles out there at the time. My hobbies also included painting--gave it up when I had three kids.
Taurie has worked in retail and people would follow her around the store to see what she matched up together. In one case, there was a rack of tops in an unusual color that were not selling. She found jeans that had a belt with the same color in it and dressed a manequin in it. They all sold out!! That gave me the idea....
Taurie was at a loose end, and I have a full time job (12 1/2 hous) three days a week, which leaves me four free days. We both like colorful and unusual textures and designs. It's funny how we can both look at the same thing and say WOW! or EEEWW!
She really enjoys working with clothes, so to help her earn her way through school, I started this up for us and purchased her a small mannequin. She works many hours to find really neat matches! Taurie wants to be a CSI or vet--and has always brought home stray cats--we have a few--:) hence our eBay name! The store reflects her artistic side--her brother is an artist, and her grandfather and I have dabbled in it.
My background is in English teaching, banking and computer operations, and I am private school educated with a degree in liberal arts, but this is the first job I could happily say I could do the rest of my life--it is more fun than work for me!
So please, take a look around. We combine East and West coast flair and fashion with American midwestern values. We welcome questions and will answer as best as we can! We will make an effort to get back to you--I work at the end of the week, and may not be home. Taurie lives a few blocks away and has a new baby, so is not always over at my place--we do check the store and emails often!
