First of all, I'm a biker, just like you! I ride a BMW R1200GS but also own a few older bikes that I ride and love. There is My BMW R100CS, Suzuki 750GT, Honda CB500T, Yamaha 175 Trials & my Parilla 250 I'm currently restoring. I have been around motorcycles for 45 years and belive in the brotherhood of bikers. You don't need to ride a Harley to
LIVE TO RIDE, RIDE TO LIVE!
Thanks to you, I have enjoyed my eBay experience dremendously and have met countless motorcycle enthusiasts like myself. I have aimed at staying friends with most everyone of my bidders & buyers and, looking at my 99.66% positive feedback, I think I'm achieving what I'm after. Of course, I'm only human and there can be instances where I make a mistake, a part is not what I thought it is, the delivery takes longer then expected, an item gets damaged or even lost in transport, etc. This is life and it's not perfect but there isn't a problem that can't or won't be solved! I try hard to satisfy every wish of my buyers and get the item shipped within 48 hours or less. After spending hours and days cleaning, inspecting and listing, take all the time in the world to answer your questions,It usually all works out just great. But no matter what one does, sometimes Murphy wins!
Here is my promise to you:

Here I will ad notes I receive from my customers:
Hi Gary;
Just a note to let you know that I have received the 3 Owners Manuals ( item # 8070250986 , # 8070251348, & # 8070252098), and I am very satisfied to see what great shape that they are in.
Besides that, they have already been put to good use in cross-referencing of similar parts between the 9 bikes which I am restoring.
Also as of tonite I have left you great feedback on eBay for all 3 Manuals, and would you kindly do the same for me - thanks.
Thankyou again for all your time and help on these items & looking forward to future business with you.
Kind Regards,
Venny P.
QUESTION OF THE MONTH:
Q: Hi, I thought on your description, the starting price is 14.99? Would you sell it for that amount? Thanks!
(this was asked after the auction ended with 6 watchers but no bidds and I relisted the item in our eBay store)
Good question! Please let me explain: When I put items up on auction, I start them at an absolute minimum (sometimes below cost) to attract bidders. When the auction ends without bidders, I usually move the item to the store. It cost time and money to do so (recently, eBay raised the fees for listing of store items from 3 to 11 cents!!!). Also, please keep in mind that I already paid for the auction that ended without a bid. So, the economical fact is, that with the constant raising of selling cost on eBay, the goods sold there will become more expensive and the 'killer deals' ones found on eBay over the past years will become rare, if not extinct at all. I am a full time eBay seller and my business depends on this venue of income. I pledge to keep my prices as low as economically possible and provide the same fast and reliable service and quality parts I've come to be known for. However, I, like all other eBay sellers, must adjust my pricing to the increasing cost of doing business. Furthermore, if I start an auction at minimum, don't get a bid and then put the item in the store for the same amount, wouldn't that be an invitation not to bid and buy it in the end out of the store? Which raises the question: why have an auction in first place???? Please see the auction as a one time oportunity: this is your shot on getting the item really cheap!
I hope I clarified this and my bidders and customers understand the situation.
Sincerely, New Age Cycle Parts
Here are a few things that I'd like to share with all eBay users. Some of it is just almost criminal but most of it is just plain funny.......all this are actual questions & comments sent by eBay users!
Q.:"I'm not happy with the item but I'm not going to send it back! I want a $400.00 discount (the sale was for a $600 set of wheels) or I'll leave you neg. feedback....."
A.: The answer is always NO! I do not deal with black-mailers or terrorists, period! If an item is damaged while in transport, call the carrier, they'll come and pick it up and I'll file with them and you'll get your money back........if it's something else, call or e-mail me, we'll work it out! Just don't start by threatening, it doesn't work........By the way, this guy left me neg. feedback!
Q.:"That BMW seat doesn't fit my bike, I want my money back!"
A.: I don't know what make & model of bike you've got! That the BMW seat doesn't fit your Honda was pretty obvious......to anyone who know you have a Honda! If I say it fits, it fits! I'll take full responsibility for that. If you HOPE it might fit, YOU take resposibility!
Q.: "I found the same item for less, do I have to pay you?"
A.: You did place the bid, not me. If you find it for less after you won my auction, you own to pay for it......
Q.: "When I received the item, I noticed that the color was a shade or two off from the picture on eBay......"
A.: Please remember that the color setting on your monitor is adjustable and if this adjustment is just slightly off, you might get the wrong color displayed on the screen.......(this happened 2 years ago, the guy later e-mailed me to let me know that his monitor quit a week after......)
Q.: "Could you diassemble the engine and send a picture of the thread on the left crankshaft end at 45 degree from horizontal looking towards the center....." (this is hard to belive it could be an actual question sent by a bidder....)
A.: Sure, why not! It's only 14 hours worth of labor and $220.00 for gaskets. Let me just hire a photographer who specializes in that type of work! We don't want to mess that shot up, do we.........
Q.: "could you bring the bike by my house so I can take a look at it before placing a bid......" (another good one! This girl lived over 400 miles away.......and it was a $300 parts-bike!)
A.: Well, I guess you know the answer to that one..........
Q.: "I missed the end of the auction but noticed that your item didn't sell, how's about 20 bucks for it?"
A.:POSITIVELY NO! You could have placed a bid while the auction was still on, why wait for the last moment when you know you want it? Is it that you thought you get a deal after it didn't sell?I will gladly negotiate with a bidder if an item didn't make reserve. However, non- bidders may have another shot at the item if I relist it.......
I take the law and eBAY's rules serious and I expect the same from you!
I will update this when something really funny or really crooked comes in......
RECENT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK:
Not as described, one lens cracked, one light missing bulb.
First of all, I never said that they come with bulbs and I never looked into both. The cracked lens does not show on the pics and I didn't see any damage when I took the picture, it must have happened during shipping or packing. We do anything in our power to avoid that kind of damage, but it can happen. Normally, if there is a problem, the buyer should let me know about it. I'll then refund part or all of the payment, make an adjustment or send a replacement. However, this guy never contacted me, just left this feedback.......NOT FAIR!
