Combat Guitars™ pay tribute to the greatest fighter jets of our time. We currently offer the F-4 Phantom Guitar, F-16 Falcon Guitar™, F/A-18 Hornet Guitars and other guitars featuring Combat Vehicles. We also offer guitars with rank insignia inlay – and anything else you might desire.
A Combat Guitar™ is a collector grade instrument endowed with powerful visual presence. An electric guitar is a canvas for inlay with rare shell, stone and precious metals. We also use glassy jet black Madagascar Ebony for our fretboards and other exotic woods such as reserves of the long outlawed Brazilian Rosewood.
Our guitars are "Unique Whips" that any player would be proud of. We install the finest electronic components and all artwork, figured wood dye (1, 2 or 3-step) or staining, fretting, set-up, and finishing is done by hand. Custom requests are very welcome. If you only have a vague idea for an instrument, I'm sure that we can bounce ideas back and forth until your vision is on an electric canvas.
Legal: Combat Guitars™ and Penton Guitars™ are two
trademarks owned by Cmdr. Butch Penton (USN ret.)We are not to be confused with the Japanese company.
Their trademark is registered in Japan and not transferable to the USA.
Other trademarks:
- "11 Top" woods. Standard grade for musical instruments is AA. The highest designation is 5A (AAAAA). PRS® uses their trademark term "10 Top" to describe their very best 'signature' laminate tops. I often use exhibition grade woods and my trademark is 11 Top™. This is a trademark and not an actual grading criteria.
- The terms Iron Bird(s)™ are used by Combat Guitars™ to describe our guitars and those terms are strict trademarks.
- F-4 Phantom II guitar™, F-16 Falcon guitar™, etc are trademarks. Guitarmakers cannot use an aircraft
designation to describe the guitar eg: "A-10 Thunderbolt Guitar™." One can certainly build a personal guitar
with that aircraft theme but cannot use the aircraft designation terms before the word 'guitar' for resale
and further; cannot use stone, shell and precious metals to create aircraft inlay for resale.
- Websites are trademarks: PentonGuitars.com™, CombatGuitars.com™, CombatGuitar.com™, and 11TopGuitars™.
