Our Policies
We our customers! This is my tenth year as an eBay member -- 10 as a buyer, 8 as a seller, and 6 as a POWERSELLER. I hope you will find my policies and way of doing business fair and reasonable.
1. YOUR SATISFACTION IS IMPORTANT -- those words are in all of my auctions, and I mean it sincerely. I believe in treating others as I would like to be treated. 2. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. Nobody's perfect...If a mistake is made -- it certainly wasn't intentional, and I'll always try to do the right thing. I will never attempt to dupe or fool you. I try to compose descriptions that are accurate and comprehensive, and include lots of big photos of the actual item from all angles -- including closeups of anything noteworthy than I can photograph. 3. BIDDING AND PAYING -- If you're like me, you have a life outside of eBay. All that I ask is that you make payment and/or contact me in approximately 2 weeks. Usually what I will do is send a friendly reminder, if I haven't received your payment in that time -- just to make sure that your payment didn't get lost in the mail, or that you didn't forget about me. I understand that sometimes bad things happen -- family emergencies, job closings (I've been there). If you realize that you cannot pay, please email me as soon as possible, so that I can help you with the transaction. If you default on one of my auctions and never contact me -- when I file for the eBay credit siting no contact, they will issue you a warning for being a non-paying-bidder. I have to do that to get my commission back. 4. AFTER THE AUCTION -- I'll do my best to contact you within 3 business days or sooner. My notices are sent out automatically, and oftentimes I have already included shipping information. If you are international, or I am determining your shipping after the auction has ended -- I will have an einvoice out to you within 3 days of the auction end. I know, sometimes with spam filters, that email doesn't always get through. If you haven't received a notice, or if you need your information quickly, please email me. 5. PACKING, SHIPPING, AND INSURANCE. I do not add handling or packaging fees. Please allow a reasonable handling time of approx. 3 days. But, let me know if you are in a hurry, and I'll put you at the top of the list. After the rate increases in USPS Priority, I added Parcel Post and FedEx GROUND as options to save you money. If I can ship 1st Class in a padded envelope -- I will. I do my best to keep your shipping costs down, and GLADLY combine multiple auctions to save you money. And if you're a multiple auction winner, and I can't safely combine all of your items in one box -- I'll still give you a shipping discount. I don't add any packing or handling fees. My insurance rates vary -- I may insure your package through the carrier or through a third party. I reserve the right to make that determination, but if you pay for insurance you will ALWAYS be covered. Sometimes I will include insurance in the shipping costs -- you'll see it on the invoice as "included". FedEx carries with it $100 in insurance included in the rate. USPS charges extra, and you will know that your package is insured by USPS because it will be stamped "Insured". My 3rd party rates are cheaper, and your box will not be stamped "Insured". I'll always send you a shipping notification. If I have any tracking information, I'll send you that too. I use large bubble wrap and packing peanuts, as well as styrofoam or double boxing for heavy items, to ensure their safety. 6. FEEDBACK. I like to leave positive feedback on all of my transactions, and gladly do so when the transaction is complete. I consider a transaction complete upon receiving word from you, through email or feedback, that you have received your purchase, and are satisfied. 7. CAN YOU RETURN AN ITEM? Although I don't sell "on approval", I do accept returns for valid reasons. Please try to email me as soon as possible, and just explain what the problem is. I'm pretty easy to deal with, and if you're nice to me -- I'll always be courteous in return. I'll typically pay for all shipping if it's my mistake. I will also ask you to insure it -- if you send it back, and it's broken and uninsured -- I reserve the right to not issue a refund. Sometimes I will have a tiny invisible mark placed on an item, and may need to verify that mark upon its return. 8. I do not accept payments that exceed the high bid amount -- unless it is rounded to the nearest dollar for convenience purposes. 9. I will assess a fee for a RETURNED PERSONAL CHECK -- because my bank will charge me -- and it will be in that amount. 10. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: Please wait for me to give you the appropriate shipping amounts before paying. I'll do what I can to save you money -- shipping in a padded envelope, if possible; offering the 1st class international rate as an option -- if possible; and using the smallest possible box to give you enough protection, but keeping the rate down. 11. RECENT EBAY CHANGES: One of the changes recently implemented by eBay is to require shipping amounts on all items. I will always include calculations for Priority Mail and USPS Parcel Post (which is slower, but cheaper). These will be based on distance from my zip (15205 - Pa.), weight, and box size. I also offer Fedex Ground which may be cheaper if you're further away -- for example California, Washington State, Texas, or even Florida. eBay doesn't provide a calculation for Fedex, but I will provide you with a range, and your Fedex shipping will always be in that range -- if you're in the continental US. I will also provide you with a specific Fedex quote upon request. Another change that will be coming -- by eBay -- is to have sellers only accept electronic payments. I know I have a lot of money order only customers, as well as customers who love the convenience of writing a personal check (especially since I ship immediately with most checks). Just a heads-up. Another idea that eBay seems to be pushing is free shipping. I've been experimenting with it, and it's been popular with bidders, so I'll continue to offer at least some free US shipping items -- check them out!

FAVORITE ITEMS & OTHER INFO
TIPS: Keep yourself safe! Never click on an email link that asks you to log into eBay or PAYPAL, or to re-enter personal information. Don't fall for bogus "security" emails asking you to verify your account by clicking on a link to sign in. Also, doublecheck any payment reminders or member questions that reference an item that you are not selling, or an item that you never bid on. I had one that congratulated me for being the winning bidder on an island in the South Pacific! Go to eBay's home page and search for the mentioned item number -- to see if it's real or bogus. Ebay and PAYPAL will never ask you to login via an email link -- always go to the main site, if uncertain. Another way to deal with something questionable is to forward it to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com to see if the email is bogus. They'll usually let you know within 24 hours if an email is legit or not -- especially those which threaten to limit or terminate your account. If you're a buyer only, chances are it's bogus. Or, the bogus ones that look like they're from Paypal, that thank you for paying for that Plasma TV -- and advise you to "click on this link" if you didn't bid on it. Ebay's great...safe and happy bidding!
