Me With A Sleepy Ava

I started making jewelry in 2002, when I stumbled onto some earring making kits while looking for a pair of bear fetish earrings. I bought a couple of the kits, & was hooked! I hadn't even considered making things for others, until I literally sold the first pair of earrings I'd made, right out of my ears!
I use only the very best supplies that I can find. Focals are made from Lampwork, Czech Glass, or Semi-precious stones, & accented with Swarovski crystals/pearls, Sterling/Bali Silver, or Copper. Earrings hang on Sterling, Stainless Steel, or Niobium (Stainless Steel & Niobium are hypo-allergenic!) earwires. Everyone's always complimenting me, (& others who wear it), on my jewelry & I love being able to say, "I made it!".
I live in a small, mountain town, with my dog Pup, a Mini Schnauzer. My only child, a daughter, is all grown up, married & just had her first child on Jan 11, 2008. I'm now a grandma to a gorgeous little girl named Ava. My full time job is as an instructional aide in a boy's juvenile detention facility.
Besides jewelry making, I enjoy website design/maintenance, reading, & making animated signatures.
