This organization was founded in 2003 for the rescue, care and placement of all companion animals. We are currently in the process of filing for non-profit status. We have been rescuing animals for many years and finally made the decision to form a nonprofit organization in order to help save more lives.
Cullen's Archangel RescuE's (CARE) mission is to rescue and protect animals in need in our local community and throughout our country when we can. We strive to provide support and education about the importance and benefits of spaying & neutering, vaccinations, socialization, training, heartworm testing, proper care (food, shelter, water, special needs), and the prevention of disease.
We are a no kill rescue group. We are primarily located in and around Columbia, SC. We also have a few scattered volunteers in MD, NC and GA. We try to keep our focus on rescues in SC, but we do adopt out of state (from NY down to FL). We do not have a shelter and operate out of just a few private foster homes. All proceeds from our eBay sales go toward the animals and their care. Remember when you buy, you are helping to save a life!
CARE is named after our president's Greyhound, Cullen, who was killed July 24, 2001 in a violent robbery. We await the day the killers are brought to justice. (pictured in portrait on the right)
