These days, I love to paint with a painting knife.
Much of my subject matter consists of jazz musicians and rainy,
night, and urban street scenes. The use of thick paint and the
texture it creates, help deliver the look, mood, and feeling of
the work. I don't want to limit myself to only certain types of
paintings but I paint what I enjoy, I also love to paint figures
doing doing what they like, including the tango. I always try
to learn something new with each work. All of my paintings are
unique original works and are collected internationally. Each
one is done with quality materials and with care. I studied art
at Southern University in Tennessee and attended the Ringling
school of art and design. Graphic design was my occupation for
15 years. I have painted off and on before and during that time.
Now I'm putting much of my energy into painting. I am also a professional
pianist having studied it since I was a young child. I do studio
work and play with various bands here in Austin including Johnny
Bush, Justin Trevino, Cornell Hurd of course, and more. I play
weddings and restuarants and have a real knack for boogie and
honky tonk. I was also a music major in college and love classical
music as well. Art and music are my passion and are true blessings.
