Hi! Thanks for stopping by my eBay "About Me" page. I will just admit it up front: I am a packrat! I love buying things, collecting things, saving things, etc. I never throw anything away! I joined eBay in July 2001 thinking I might eventually unload some of my treasures (you know, at least to make room for a few new ones), and I did dabble at selling for a few years (5+ ?) but probably wound up buying even more... of course!
Anyway, my wife and I are now in the process of relocating to another part of the country (just waiting for our house to sell we've sold our house!) and my "packrattiness" is kind of complicating the move. When you're paying the movers for every pound they're trucking cross-country, well, let's just say that I've seen the light and stuff has got to go! So, basically, a couple months ago (October 2006) I decided to start holding my own online garage sale on eBay. And guess what I discovered? Selling on eBay is just as much fun as buying! Who knew?
By the way, if you are interested in being a more effective eBay buyer or seller, I would highly recommend that you check out Skip McGrath's free "99 Tips for Buying and Selling on eBay". Skip is a respected businessman and author who actually practices what he preaches (and sells an awful lot on eBay). Just click on the banner at the top of this page for his free tips and tricks-of-the-trade. I've learned an awful lot from him!
Also, I would really recommend the eBay University seminars to anyone who's new to eBay. I attended one a couple of years ago. Lots of good info on buying and selling for the novice, and probably some good tips for more experienced eBayers as well.

OK, a little more about me.... I am a stay-at-home dad of two great little kids. They're 5 and 6, and it's about all I can do to keep up with them. I spend my free time (school and an understanding wife are a wonderful blessing!) working with a community organizing group through my church, help run a local stay-at-home dads group, and read (so many books, so little time!). I also publish several blogs on my family's website.
I have rather ecclectic taste, and as I said above I tend to be a packrat, so I have a whole garage full of various items to sell (once I get around to cleaning everything out). I buy and sell some baby/kid stuff and general household items, vintage Pyrex glassware, Pfaltzgraff dinnerware, books (especially fantasy, sci-fi and histories), DVDs (especially television shows), coins, toys and the list goes on.
