My Daughter and Me

Time flies...just realized all my information is now old news.  To update - I'm a mom of an 19 year-old daughter who will be entering her second year of college in a few weeks.  I also have twins - a son and a daughter who are 28; each of whom made me a Grandma in 2000-my son gave me a grandson; and 5 months later my daughter gave me a granddaughter.  I thought I was too young to be a GRANDMA, but enjoy it immensely!  I also have a 15 year old step-daughter who is a joy when we get to see her - busy teen!  I work as a legal secretary/paralegal in a very busy law firm in downtown Syracuse, NY.  I graduated from college in April 2003 (magna cum laude) with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice (minor in English), and in May of 2006 from the paralegal certificate program at Syracuse University.  I've been married to one of the sweetest, dearest men alive since 2001.  Tent camping is my sanctuary and the best place to camp in New York State is the Adirondack Mountains~gorgeous!!  I like to kayak the flatwaters of the Adirondacks and get to indulge in my second favorite hobby – photography – while doing so.  I also like to read, write, hike, canoe, volunteer when and where I can-especially Great Camp Sagamore in the Adirondacks. I've recently been lucky enough to be accepted into a gallery in Syracuse, NY and have sold a few of my photographs. I've also enrolled in a class at the New York Institute of Photography.  I also just recently sent in my wildlife rehabilitator's license application and am hoping that sometime over the next year or so I'll be licensed and qualified to care for raccoons and other animals in need.
