Hello!
An Arizona mini-farm is where I live, and spend lots of time outdoors with my Arabian mare, Gaila, and Benny the Bearded Collie. Gaila and I still ride once a week, even though we are both senior citizens! She is the most understanding Arabian horse I have ever known, and is also my "model" for many paintings. Have recently begun to do "Folk Art" paintings, especially with the Amish theme. Medieval saints are interesting art subjects too, but can take quite a bit of time, so they are still few and far between. Sometimes I sell a book or two, and have an extensive Alaskan library of books from the days when our family homesteaded in Salcha, Alaska...even my own book, "Harry the Homestead Horse," which appears on eBay from time to time. Hope you like my art; I am always working to improve my skills and come up with interesting subjects!
My art studies were completed at the University of Arizona College of Fine Arts, where I received the Fine Arts degree in 1998. But my interest in painting began years before that, in interior Alaska, where the scenery is so breathtaking that painting is a "must-do." But now that my three children are grown and on their own, the time has finally arrived for me to develop my long-neglected skills. ACEOs are so fun! They are really my main interest now, but who knows where that may lead?
