Welcome to the Dessa Rae Original Art Dolls, About Me Page. I have been making all kinds of dolls for the past 29 years. I have been sculpting for 19 years, and Reborning for well over 5 years. My sculpted dolls range in size from 2 inches to 22 inches.
My One-of-a-Kind sculpted dolls are made from the finest materials. I try to incorporate vintage laces, and jewelry on all my sculpts. I use Pearl Moon Mohair for their hair. I blush their bodies, and faces with permanent pigments, with a very high light fast rating. I give my miniature dolls very tiny semi-precious stone eyes. Some dolls are full sculpts and some are poseable.
I have received two Dolls Awards of Excellence Nominations. One in 1995, and one in 1997. My dolls have been featured in Dolls Magazine, Contemporary Doll Magazine, and Doll Crafter.
These dolls are all One-of-a-Kind, no molds are ever used in their creation. All dolls are baked to the manufacturer specifications to assure a strong sculpt for many years to come.
Dessa Rae Original Art Dolls Are truly a unique work of art, and are not intended for small children. With care these One-of-a-Kind dolls will last for generations to come.
I sell all of my creations on eBay and I usually have a new auction every week as time allows.
