1959 Daytona 500 1st annual ticket stub collection

*** GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT! ***  Proud to announce the 1000th different ticket added to my collection in August 2007!  Ticket #1000 was to one of Dale Earnhardt's wins,  the 1980 running of the "Busch Nashville 420" at Nashville Speedway.  It is just the raincheck portion of the ticket (the small end) and was Dale Earnhardt's 4th career win!

October 15, 2007, a day which will live in infamy... Haha, just kidding, on this day I completed my Daytona 500 ticket collection.  Thats right, a ticket to all 49 Daytona 500's!  Now if I can track down a 1952 Darlington Southern 500 ticket, I'll have a ticket to all 55 Southern 500's.

I collect nascar ticket stubs, unused tickets, ticket/track brochures, and memorabilia such as pit passes, garage passes, parking passes, press passes, and other race items from any and all nascar winston cup races.  So far I have tickets to 1085 different races, over 540 different ticket brochures, and hundereds of other items such as garage passes, official entry blanks, parking passes, etc.  I'm especially looking for items from more obscure tracks such as Macon (Middle Georgia Raceway), Asheville-Weaverville Speedway, Ontario Motor Speedway, Trenton NJ Speedway, Texas World Speedway, The Old Nashville Speedway, Langhorne Speedway and Riverside Raceway.

I'm currently looking for a Southern 500 ticket from 1952 and a 1979 Bristol Southeastern 500 ticket.

My goal is to have a ticket to every nascar race in the modern era (1972-Present) and as many tickets prior to as I can possibly find.  So far (as of April 4th, 2008) I have the following from the modern era:  From 1972 through the Bristol spring race in 2008 there is a total of 1,136 points paying Nascar races.  I have a ticket to 906 of those.  Thats 79.75%.
