OSWOAArtwork By Pamela Wilheim ( ebay
user name - eeps1)
Hi! My name is Dustie Meads and,
although I am a new artist still learning the trade and do list a few of my works on Ebay
from time to time, I am really all about promoting OSWOAnbsp;
art, artists, and collectors, both on the internet and in real
life!
OSWOAnbsp; is an acronym
which stands for Original Small Works Of Art. The OSWOA art
format and movement was a brainchild of mine which was introduced
on the internet via an Ebay launch of over 50 OSWOA art auctions
by numerous artists on September 28, 2006. The launch introduced the online world to the
OSWOA format in a big way and the movement has
been growing ever since.
It is my goal to help all artists make money by
promoting the OSWOA art format, and to help collectors by
encouraging more and more artists to create art in the OSWOA
format so they might have build an impressive collection of art
from artists around the world!

In a nutshell, if an artwork qualifies as an
Original Small Work Of Art (OSWOA) according to the rules above, then permission
is given to use the acronym OSWOA to describe the artwork, and the people involved with
OSWOA art, including but not exclusive to, the OSWOA artists and collectors.
For the benefit of the OSWOA movement and for the
success of those who are creating and trying to sell their OSWOA
art, I have officially
applied for Trademark protection of the OSWOAacronym through the
The
United States Patent and Trademark Office. Trademark
will help protect the OSWOA standards, assuring that our
collectors will be able to rely on the OSWOA name to stand for consistency
and quality in a small art format..
Use of trademark material without the owner's
permission is against Ebay's policy. For
the sake of keeping the OSWOA art movement clear of abuse of the OSWOA
Acronym, auctions which refuse to adhere to the guidelines, are
subject to being reported to Ebay and may have their auctions
pulled.
Everyone who follows the simple rules and
guidelines of OSWOA art are free to use OSWOAin their
auctions. You make the symbol by holding down the alt
key and typing 0153.
I would love to see all artists creating and
selling OSWOA art. I'd also love to see art lovers and patrons
winning OSWOA auctions, and if the values go up, reselling their OSWOA
art. The OSWOA guidelines are easy to
follow and are intended to benefit both the artist (keeping a high
standard will bring the collectors) and the collectors (keeping a
high standard will encourage better artists).
For a more in-depth look at OSWOA and the
trademark issue, visit www.oswoa.com.
Here you'll also find a complete history on the OSWOA art
movement, more information on what qualifies as OSWOA, and
graphics and logos free to use in your auctions or websites!
And, if you've any further questions, you can feel
free to ask me, Dustie Meads, budding artist, long time Ebay
seller (everything and anything) and patron of the arts (below
you'll find some OSWOA works from my own collection). My
