Welcome to my page, one and all! Hope you'll enjoy this and visit my auctions. I've been a book addict ever since I was a kid--not a nerd mind you, but I just enjoy an occasional escape from reality through reading. I'm also into videos and good music, being a "child of the '60s" and growing up with a father who played big band. I really try to be versatile in my choices of items to sell and I hope you enjoy them!
A few books I recommend are "This Much I Know is True" by Wally Lamb---excellent book! And please don't let the 900 pages scare you--it's a very quick read and a very refreshing book that makes so many emotions in you tingle: you laugh, you cry, you get angry, flustered with the system, sympathetic but you are constantly rooting for Dominick to become the fittest of the fit--a true survivor!
Two Stephen King books that are high on my list of recommendations are: "The Green Mile"--5+Stars for that one. Well told tale about a high security prison where one of the guards on Death Row narrates the story about the times and the "clientel" of the "Gray Bar Hotel"--gives you a different look (and attitude) about the Death Penalty----this is highly recommended and King's finest.
His second book I highly recommend is "Bag Of Bones". I have never felt so many emotions running through me as I did from this story. I can't tell you how many times I had to stop reading the book because I was really scared--only to go back in 5 minutes to finish reading some more. I couldn't get enough of it. I had a very difficult time putting this book down. You won't be disappointed when you read this! I'd like to see Stephen King come out with a sequel to this fine novel.
SUZANNE'S DIARY FOR NICHOLAS by James Patterson is an excellent book to read and so different from his other novels. Suzanne is a refreshing character as is her husband, Matt. A fantastic love story you won't be able to put down! A must buy if you haven't read it. Favorite Links
