About Me

 ABOUT ME:
I'm a stay-at-home mom to a toddler boy. I had a really hard time with him at first because I could never put him down without him crying (believe me, I tried just about everything). I made myself an over-the-shoulder sling for the first three months. As he got heavier I needed to find something different and discovered mei tais. I made myself a prototype and found it really makes a difference in the way the baby's weight is distributed. I keep at least one mei tai in the car for emergencies. When my son was smaller I carried him in a mei tai quite a bit and I received lots of compliments because he looked so content.

EXPERIENCE:
I'm formally trained in art and have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I'm also close to getting my master's degree in history. However, when it comes to sewing I'm self taught. I use my common sense and creativity as well as years of sewing practice by making my own throw pillows, curtains, tablecloths, duvet covers, and make-up bags. As you might imagine my house is mostly decorated with hand-made items. Thanks for looking at my auctions!
