PRODUCT INFORMATION AND GUARANTEES
What is 14 Karat Gold fill?
14/20 (or 1/20th 14 karat) gold-filled, or gold overlay, is made by heat and pressure-bonding a thick layer of gold to a brass core. The 1/20 notation refers to the ratio of the 14 Karat gold layer to the brass layer by weight, which is 5 %.
Quality that counts
14 Karat gold covers the brass surface, making it tarnish-resistant.
The value of the gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer, not just a microscopic film of karat gold.
All of the gold-filled products we offer meet the federal standards of quality and content.
Gold-filled jewelry is economical. Our customers enjoy the rich look of gold at a fraction of the cost. I guarantee all of my 14 Karat gold-fill jewelry to remain beautiful for the life of the client and many generations to come.

MY BIO
I was born in Detroit, Michigan, hardly a creative mecca. As a child I had a boundless imagination. I loved to draw, paint and dream. Around the age of 15, I moved to San Francisco, California where I had the opportunity to deeply connect with my artistic self.. I was inspired, San Francisco was my open door to the world of art, culture and diversity.
In the early seventies I seized an opportunity to travel thru Mexico then Central and South America. So began a 15 year sourjourn around most of the southern hemisphere thru 79 countries.
The colorful art of the Americas influenced me profoundly. I felt moved by the artistic expressions of the people thru their pottery,, textiles, dance and music. Wanderlust then took me to Africca where the beauty and hospitality of the people opened my heart. Everywhere, I was surrounded by the colors, shapes and textures of African art and culture.
Finally I went on to Asia and southeast Asia where spirtuality and daily activities comingle. I love the Asian way of life and hope to revisit soon. My international experiences proved to be a precious and intense training ground in honing my artistic senses.
After returning to the United States in 1986, I possesed a burning desire to create something all my own. So I began to experiement and create art in the form of jewelry. Everything I had seen and experienced abroad coalesced into jewelry designs uniquely my own.
This is when (once again) fate and fortune smiled, I met my life partner Hank. We lived on a small boat, in the Florida Keys, where together we created Earth Stones. Hanks business talents combined with my artistic vision formed a harmonious properous relationship.
Earth Stones outgrew our tiny boat so we decided to move ashore. We chose a secluded mountain cove in North Carolina, near the small town of Weaverville. My jewelry designs evolved and our business flourished for 7 years in the peacefullness of the North Carolina woods.
Each year Earth Stones brought us in search of high quality gemstones to the Tucson Gem and Mineral show in Southern Arizona. We liked the Sonoran desert region so much that in 1997 we decided to move here. In Tucson, Earth Stones changed in many ways. We began participating iin electronic commerce. By selling jewelry at online auctions our exposure increased dramatically. The response has been phenomenal!
Hanks expertise in buying stones, and his relationships with the gemstone cutters and miners have always brought us the highest quality of uniquely cut gemstones at the best price. Our combined talents resulted in Earth Stones continuing success. To work with minerals and semiprecious gemstones has been and continues to be immensely rewarding. After working intimately with gems for over 15 years I believe a harmonic flow has developed between the metals, the gems and myself.
By gently handling the materials, my vision of the finished piece comes to life effortlessly in a meditative state. I feel that my creations come direct from the universe thru me to be with whom they are destined. Click back to my jewelry page and see which one was meant for you.
