Welcome and Greetings to all !!!
|
So many guitars, so little time... Building guitars is my source of income, not just a hobby. I take it seriously - from choosing the materials, to how the shapes are placed within each piece of fine wood. There are countless hours spent on every detail - weather I will make good money for my work or not, I do it right. For example, I do not pick out wood by cost to profit margin, but pick what I know will be great for what I plan to build. Granted, this leaves me in a bind, from time to time - but I let each guitar go with a great feeling about what I have done.
I consider the time it takes to machine, rout, shape and sand a guitar body to the rough form, and count the hours invested at that point - when setting my price. And I do not count the many hours of fine hand work that make my pieces really stand out in the market. The second part is my gift to my customers. Weather I starve sometimes or not, I still believe this is the right way to do business... |

I never rush this kind of work, a guitar should feel like a rock solid anchor, with grace and precision oozing from every facet of it’s workings. It’s an instrument of music, and should be so fine, that it’s impossible to explain with words. Many thanks to everyone that has done business with me – I know that this is a very important kind of purchase, and I appreciate your confidence in my work. My wish is that it serve you well for more than a lifetime. I back the material and work-man-ship of my guitars for a lifetime, accepting abuse, unauthorized modification and natural disasters (of course). This is covered for the origonal buyer of the instrument. There's over-kill regarding strength and stability in my designs, and how the work is done - rough tested by my first build still playing like a gem for 22 years - strong, balanced and stable in many elenental changes. I state many things in my auctions, as you cannot hold the work in your hands prior to buying it - but the work itself will tell you so much more, once you have purchased one of my instruments. Again, thank you for your business - and your continued support of a fellow musician...

A word about Bidding and Feedback - in regard to General Product
Both used and new
A List of reasons NOT to BID and some Humor:
You need three weeks to decide if you are satisfied with an item.
You return to a restaurant two weeks later demanding that the waitress refund your tip, as you have changed your mood about the service you received.
You cannot decide if you are satisfied with the item or it’s condition, regardless of time spent doing so.
You are a mentally unstable pessimist seeking a place to complain.
You are incapable of reading, comprehending the meaning of what is stated, and making a choice.
You like Jazz. ( hats off to "Kids in the Hall" )
You cannot or will not believe that what is stated, IS in FACT what is for sale.
You do not believe that I KNOW what it is - it’s age, condition, and other relevant details.
Mutual respect is always right, however you believe the Clearly warped phrase "the customer is always right"
You have assumed that I sell items for the sole purpose of exchanging differing opinions.
You are a mental patient at a psycho-ward sneaking into the nurses station to buy things.
You believe it is my obligation to satisfy your curiosity and baby-sit your indecision after the auction is over.
You are strangely "special" in your mind, and believe I must bark three times, roll over and play dead for your feedback.
You are occasionally abducted by aliens and forced to bid on unwanted eBay items.
You cannot or will not complete your contract to buy the item per the conditions of the auction.
IF you have "opinions", and questions – offer and ask them BEFORE you bid. Investigate, hire a jury, contract an independent lab if you wish – but do these things PRIOR to bidding on ANY of my items. This is an Auction, NOT a department store, and it will be managed in the customary way. All items are sold AS IS – ALL sales are Final. Just as it is when I myself buy something on eBay, I'm either sure of the item or I do not bid on it. Making sure after buying it is not the way an auction works. It's just like a garage sale, flee market or any other auction - you do not go back and ask to alter the exchage after it is done. If you're not sure, don't buy it. If you are sure, by all means, cash in on the deal you have found! Granted, if you ordered a crystal wine glass and received a broken light-bulb, something is out of line. Or you bid on a katana sword, and receive a butter knife with a tassle glued to it! - I do not engage in this kind of thing, and you will always see a high resolution photograph of the ACTUAL Item(s) I am selling - no cut and paste from the manufacturer's web site. Sometimes I will state an item will not be DOA, or that an item is new, and I will honor this - Though, I will not participate in any petty squabbling to establish this. My Feedback - from those who showed the class and quality to post it - speaks for itself, in their words.

About Postings:
I will not post anything without questions, unless I am sure of what it is and other details. If I am not sure of something I have for sale – I will ask questions, and welcome answers. – And this will be stated within the auction posting. You WILL get responses from me to your email and questions. And you will also hear from me after the auction with information about payment and shipping, instead of the "dead air from corporate" or automated responses. If my business grows quickly this may change a little, yet for now I can enjoy communicating directly about everything I sell here.

About Feedback:
FEEDBACK is EARNED – Immediately upon providing payment or providing Items from auction - Post it or go elsewhere. While I cannot cater to every request, I see this as an opportunity to express integrity and a good sense of fairness. I am seeking NO-one’s approval or friendship, however I do enjoy a positive exchange in all things. If you are not capable of posting feedback within a week of GETTING Exactly what was posted for auction – Why was I in a hurry to get your item shipped out to you? – Just a simple courtesy pehaps? I prefer to conclude our business in a quick and MATURE way. Just a simple, good-faith exchange without any games. When selling an item, it is my new policy to post feedback only once it is received – No more childish waiting games for nonsense like: "I Forgot", "I didn't care", "couldn't type an X and click on positive", "I didn't know it mattered", "I'm a thoughtless jerk", "I was too dull to decide if I wanted the item before I placed my bid", "I wanted to keep things lop-sided because I excell at LAMENESS", "I didn't have time" - etc... If I handled shipping in the same way some people avoid two clicks to leave feedback - I'd have a MOB of people REALLY pissed at me by now! Hey, if you have received your Item, please state it with your positive feedback - it's SO easy to do - this is what tells others that I deliver what I have stated, and fast. I am NOT seeking for you to have a grand opinion of ME - just that there is a reasonable, mature, and timely response to getting Exactly what was posted for sale. That number by our name is an assurance that we did it right, for THAT many different people, and it DOES count!
If you are angry with what is stated above, I am unimpressed AND bored! – I am not here for the anger, I am here for the commerce and the great interaction that is here!
Any of us that have done a lot of business here know how it works. Eventually some lame, asinine idiot will smear your reputation with feedback that is out of line or backwards. There's always an arss wondering why they couldn't have their package delivered in two days for ten percent the cost to ship it, or something else like this. Many seem to blunder through all kinds of childish confusion and impatience over the simplest of logistics. We can answer each other with email in seconds, but shipping is another matter entirely, and it takes time. Some of us doing business here are serious about it - we pay our bills and make a living with it. Feedback is not some childish banter between juveniles, rather it is how we establish a strong and reliable reputation with our clients. Please have the quality to be reasonable and fair...
But hey, I don't want to carry on too much, or get overly serious with all of you nice folks – Nearly every single one of you has been very pleasant to deal with, and I hope for much more of this! Most of you have shown class, intelligence and a clear understanding how this works. – So my strong statements are meant to favor all of you as well. Thank You!!! I'm no salesman by any stretch of the imagination, so I need to rely on my items having a quality that is desired. My simple ideas about this are to be honest, and communicate as I have always loved to do. You may not find buckets of saccharine protocol and spewings of what is Considered PC when dealing with me, however, you will find an honest answer regarding our business together. I love dealing with good people, and really have enjoyed this exchange! Thanks again, I hope all of you enjoy sharing the search, the wealth and the fun as much as I do!

About shipping:
Technically, I am charging for my services – for packaging and delivering your package to a chosen carrier.
The details? - Shipping charges are set at a flat rate per auction, considering the weight of the item(s) in packaged form, the cost of listing the item(s), the cost of accepting funds, packaging materials, and sir charges for printing shipping labels. All of these things cost me to get the item(s) to you, and are considered a part of the over all cost of the item(s). I do not charge anything for trips to the Post Office, packing the item(s), email correspondence, researching certain items, etc. – though I would not feel it inappropriate to do so. There will always be a small difference between actual shipping charges, and what I have posted within the auction. It can be one of two ways, I can state this here, or, pretend I am doing you some kind of extra service by simply adding it to the price of the item(s). We all pay for these services, each and every time we buy something – one way or another. You've all seen that ("free express shipping with your order!"), and anyone with sense knows that the cost of shipping has simply been added to the cost of the product. - Someone pays for it, and it will always be a part of the cost, unless the product is being manufactured in your own living room! I will not seek an extra twenty bucks per item through shipping charges like many do, as I feel this is absolutely rude and out of line. Yet I will cover my costs of getting the item into your hands. I will combine shipping & handling charges for multi-eBay auction items, Provided it is not rudely demanded. – I am not required to do this, rather I prefer to save you money when shipping your items.
Most parties selling product on eBay will wait and send out packages on a weekly basis, or have even longer delays than this. And larger cooperate entities selling product on-line have the same practice. The average turn around for shipping for all business on the internet is between three and four weeks, unless a more expensive express option is chosen. And this is done without any explanation from the company. However, you will receive an update and explanation from me with every transaction I am involved in. Please remember that it takes time for monies to clear, and time for the courier to deliver your package. Turn around is dependent upon your method of payment, and weather or not I must wait for monies to clear the bank. If I have the money to ship it on "my dime" and simply wait for your payment to clear my bank account, I will – but this is not always the case. I will contact you with an update if any delay is required. And besides, most of the time I send your package out within 24 hours - if there is any delay, it will be short, and this is an exception to the rule...
Be aware that I am not required to arrange a local pick up with you. However, if your live in the Denver area and wish to arrange getting your items from me in person, there is a Five Dollar charge for this. If I am willing to do this with you, I set the terms. For one, my home is not a store front - and, as mentioned above, shipping charges are where I reclaim some of my losses in charges for listing the item(s), accepting payment, etc. This is not because I want to be petty or cheap about things; however, I sell these items very cheap in the first place. If I accept too many changes in how they are sold and shipped, I am engaging in a kind of charity I cannot afford. Please be aware that if I do agree to you picking your items from me locally, you must be timely and flexible about getting it done. If you arrange a time to pick up item(s) and stand me up, it is just the same as refusing to pay through the eBay auction site on-line. So please be sure you can honor any arrangement you make with me.
There is no return or "customer service" department – you are dealing with one individual. If this was a part of my business on eBay, it would require me charging two to five times the amount I ask for my items. All Shipping & Handling charges incurred are non-refundable, no exceptions. Products will only be shipped to the PayPal's confirmed address, unless I am in agreement with you to do otherwise.
The Shipping & Handling charges for Canada, Europe, and the UK are for regular International Air Mail. Charges for shipping to Australia, Japan, South Korea, and the Pacific Rim will be calculated with the USPS, and will be more. I state shipping charges at the rate of regular Internation Air Mail. If you prefer a faster shipping method, please contact me to arrange paying for the additional charges. By the way, I ship a lot to Canada & UK, and (I don't mind if you don't object), I will pack them as "gift" and write down the package value to minimize import tax and duty.

To say it Legally: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Please pay within 7 days after auction has ended, I reserve the right to file non-paying bid with eBay & negative feedback eight (8) days after auction has ended. If you do not intend to pay please do not bid. Your bid is a binding contract to purchase.
All eBay auction rules apply. In the event of conflict between any of eBay's rules and the terms given here, eBay's rules shall have precedence. Should any portion of the terms herein be in conflict with eBay's rules or otherwise be unenforceable, the remainder of these conditions shall remain in full effect.
I reserve the right to reject any or all bids for any reason, or without reason. In the event of a rejected bid, or of a high bidder's failure to respond within 7 calendar days to my email notification of the winning bid, I reserve the right at my discretion to either sell the item to the next-highest bidder, to re-list the item, to withdraw the item from auction, or to take any other course of action available to me. Since all eBay sales are in auction format, all sales are final. Returns are not accepted in any way. All payment due me shall be presented to me in legal tender funds of the United States of America prior to my releasing any item to the winning bidder, bidder's authorized agent, or delivery company. Unless stated otherwise in the auction description, for delivery outside the United States of America, winning bidder shall MAKE ALL DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS DIRECTLY WITH BIDDER'S CHOICE OF DELIVERY COMPANY, including item package pick-up at a location and time I specify, and PAY ALL DELIVERY CHARGES DIRECTLY TO said delivery company. Bidder assumes all responsibility and liability for delivery of the item once the package leaves my immediate possession. All questions, opinions, concerns and demands are to be asked or made PRIOR to bidding on an item – your bid states that you are sufficiently satisfied with the item, it’s condition and any other relevant details to enter into a contract to buy the item AS IS without any guarantees implied or expressed in any way. In the even that a package is lost or damaged in transit. If desired, I may provide limited assistance in making a claim against the carrier should the package be lost or contents damaged in transit.
