I have been selling on ebay since 2000.  It is one of my favorite past times. 

I am a Florida native, and I have lived in the Daytona Beach area for 40 years.

In addition to ebay, my hobbies include Amateur Radio (NE4EB), and flying (Private Pilot).  I own a small Karaoke/DJ company and frequently entertain at clubs, parties and weddings.  In addition to my hobbies, I keep busy working a full-time government job that I've held for over twenty years.

My primary motivation for being active on ebay is to earn additional income.  However, it has become such addictive fun that I derive an equal amount of pleasure from learning all sorts of new things about the items I acquire.  Several of my close friends also sell on ebay, and the experience provides me with the opportunity to interact with them as we swap success stories and garage sale adventures.

People frequently ask me how I can afford to auction items so inexpensively without charging for handling.  Well, there are no secrets here.  Through my business contacts in my community, I have access to a virtually unlimited supply of quality boxes, bubble wrap, packing foam, peanuts and misc. supplies.  There is no need to charge anything more than actual shipping charges.

I typically ship via FedEx Ground.  If you've been around ebay long, you've probably noticed that UPS and USPS are heavily promoted.  There is no mention of FedEx.  There is also an unfortunate and inaccurate stigma associated with FedEx that they are the most expensive shipper.  It's easy to make a believer out of you!  Not only is FedEx usually MUCH less expensive than UPS or USPS for domestic shipping, I truly believe that they are faster and more careful with my products.  Just go to each shipper's website and play around with their shipping calculators. I also enjoy the automatic $100 of insurance per shipment.

Sometimes other shipping methods are more prudent.  The U.S. Postal Service does a great job with Priority Mail, and I frequently use them in some instances if the transit time is faster or if the rate is cheaper.  If requested, or if you only have a P.O. Box for receiving shipments, I will gladly ship your item USPS Priority Mail.  Remember, USPS does not provide automatic insurance up to $100 like FedEx does. 

If you have a DHL account or absolutely insist on your favorite shipper, I have no problems with that.
