I am Barbara A Strohmeier, the artist and owner of ;
Fantasy Art Studio.
I was born and raised in Ohio, but left Ohio soon after I was married and moved to Jacksonville Florida.This is my present location.
All artwork from my studio is original and painted by me.I have studied art in many medias, such as painting in acrylics, pastels, watercolor, charcoal and pen and ink.I have studied and performed fashion illustration, doll making, interior design, and photography.
My paintings have been purchased for private homes and retail establishments, in USA and other countries, where they still remain. Some of my earlier art pieces are in the Museum of Art in Ohio
At Halloween I do haunted paintings and errie interior design work for Haunted Houses. My artwork and haunted interior designs are influenced from my studies of the paranormal with Dr Rhine at Duke University and from my own original ideas.
Halloween, fantasy art and black cats are where I like to be with a paint palette. I can paint all kinds of halloween scenes, paranormal happenings, witches, ghosts, full moons, bats, cats and many other mythical creatures such as unicorns and all that goes bump in the night in acrylics on wood and canvas.
Black Cats are my speciality !! I own a black cat who lets us live with him, his name is Warlock. He is a big inspiration to me for most of my original black cat artwork. He has many moods and positions that I try to capture in my paintings...and sometimes I do. LOL.
I used to breed and show CFA Grand Champion persian show cats.That is why I paint alot of black persian cats in my Halloween art. Black persian cats were my grand champion winners in the show ring and the closest to my heart....and I try to put that feeling into my black cat artwork. |
