Being a self taught artist presents its
challenges and along with those challenges comes the reward
of accomplishment. Learning through the experience of experimentation,
my unique style and use of various techniques implementing a
variety of textures, layers, and glazing adds multi dimensional
qualities to my paintings.
I am a whimsical sort of gal who loves the humor and the
not so apparent details at first look. My own enjoyment of
delving into details cannot help but show up whenever I put
the brush to canvas. Photos have no way of capturing those
details, the color, or the feel of the work as it does in
person.
Through the years I have painted many things on a variety
of materials other than canvas including sawblades, crocks,
bowling pins, gourds, etc.. I have been commissioned to create
billboards, business logos, and website graphics, painted
murals on walls and added art to vehicles.
