My Brother-In-Law Passed Away
My brother-in-law, Bob, passed away on July 6 (my birthday). He battled with AML for 11 months but a cure wasn't meant to be. He was good people and will be missed by all whose paths he crossed.
Now It's AML For My Family
It's really amazes me, how some people just seem to skate by in life, with a wink and a smile; blue skies and palomino ponies, as far as the eye can see. I live in the Bronx, where the drug dealing ghouls seem to thrive and live forever. Nice people (like me) who want to do the good works, like start Arts & Craft Centers, teach computer related stuff, well we get screwed.
My brother-in-law (an ex-cop) was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, out of the blue. One day your golfing, the next you have cancer of the blood (from what I understand about it). The good news is that he's still kinda young and healthy, and my sister works in a hospital (with blood, she's a vamp) and can't be soft-soaped as easily. Me, I'm still looking for work and have a few interviews lined up, I'll try to make as much money as I can, just in case something isn't covered on his insurance.) Who knows, maybe I'll have to have a fund-raiser for him. I never threw a big blast before never went to a prom nor been married (never wanted to either); but for now, I'll take one day at a time, and be grateful for everyday I'm above ground, and healthy.
My Mom Passed Away
My Mother (Josephine) lost her battle with ovarian cancer shortly after midnight July 2. Her quality of life was good for 2 years and I was able to take care of her up until the last 12 hours of her life. She walked in to the ER at Lawrence Hospital and died peacefully 12 hours later. My thanks to the crew at Larry General for taking great care of my mother. Much thanks to my customers at eBay who busied my hands while I was homebound with my mother. Brightest of Blessings To All!
