Kelly Engaldo

Like many inventions, the EZ Swimmer® was born out of the need for a comfortable and fun exercise program.  In 1976, Kelly Engaldo, founder and inventor of American Son Products, Inc., had open heart surgery at Mayo Clinic.  While she was given no medical restrictions, she was mandated not to get over tired.  Kelly quickly learned that exercise helped her endurance and allowed her to have the same physical stamina her naturally healthy peers enjoyed.  After much trail and error, the EZ Swimmer® was developed and an engineer who specializes in biomedical engineering was retained by Ms. Engaldo to develop the most ergonomic shape for this innovative aquatic fitness product.  During market testing, therapists and aquatic instructors alike indicated a need for a product to build the core and offer the same advantages the balance ball offers on land.  And thus the EZ Swimmer® was refined to become to allow this innovative product to also offer the Seated Balance, an exercise to build the core while seated comfortably right on the product in the water.  After years of hard work, hours upon hours of market testing and the contributions of several expert aquatic instructors, American Son Products, Inc. is proud to be able to bring you the most technological and multi-functional aquatic resistance product available today in the marketplace.
